I purchased my phone through BT pay as you go where I top up every 60 days with #50 and get a free land line number. I have had my phone for 19 months and have not yet had any problems with it. I do not get reminded to top up so often go much longer than 60 days as #15.00 seems to last quite a long time. The only problems I have had is trying to locate the accessories i.e. phone case etc. This phone is extremely light weight, voice activated with a diary and to do list so it can be used fully as an organiser. The battery power lasts for ages and I have always been able to get a clear signal. ...

I bought my Philips genie DB in a BT shop for the ridiculous price of £19.99 on Cellnet pay and go free best friend - That was well over 2 months ago. I haven't topped up yet as they have not reminded me to!! Phone is now discontinued which explains the crazy price - 6 months ago it was £149.99! This phone came out 2 years ago as the smallest+lightest in the world at the time weighing 99 grams. It has voice activated dialling, vibration alert, diary/to do list allowing 40 alarmed reminders, lithium battery, one touch dialling, clock/date/alarm. Build quality is excellent.
