I am very dissapointed with philips on this one. I feel as if they are simply prolonging an allready poor product. The phones appearence is nothing short of 1st class , but what lies beneath isnt upto much im afraid. Another bad pointer is the size of the unit, when the original was released it was relatively average size but now with advances in technology phones have decreased in size and the philips C- xx range has been left behind.

Things that the manufacture dont tell u include:

The DB model ofers far better value
The battery cover is very suseptable to damage
The buttons feel like a childs toy
The aerial is black, why not have it silver to match the body?

Having said this the C-14 does have some good points and from months of experience I can tell you what I found pretty nifty :

Some how it attracts the ladies- maybe its the curviness?
The power consumption is excellent, some how alot better than the C12 and DB models
It does withstand knocks quite well, except to its weak point- the unprotected screen.

As a conclusion I would say this is not a bad phone, but you can get better for your money.
