Advantages: screen, functions
Disadvantages: menu, games
Oh, man. I've had this phone 6 months now. I got a great deal from Vodafone (online 100), and overall it's a good phone. It was free, the camera is excellent, battery life is good (especially considering the massive, bright screen) and reception is good. Pretty too. But the menu system... WHY? I actually stopped writing dooyoo reviews ages ago, but the terrible menu system of this phone (i've had to rewrite yet another text message) has driven me back. In a nutshell, the menu is the anti-nokia, confusing and badly laid-out. Examples: - The buttons are quite small. It's easy to knock the red button whilst texting. If you do this, it quits writing the text message and asks you if you want to save. Nothing wrong with that, but you can't go back to the text message! If you want to keep writing the text, you have to back to the draft section. It's very annoying in practice. - The phone has crashed on me about 10 times. That's more than once a month. When I say crashed, I mean totally frozen. Not counting the countless times it's frozen for a few seconds. - It has a fantastic sound recording function. But once you've recorded it, if you want to use it, as a ringtone or something (the major function, surely?) you have to go to a totally menu. - The phone doesn't automatically let you take a number from a text message sender and save it in the Contacts list. It will, however, extract a number from the text message and let you save that as a contact (?!?!) - It's so easy to accidentally use the vodafone live, more so because the phone freezes up and you end up pressing a button twice. It then connects to the GPRS. It's a good phone though!!! Just couldn't have been tested much before it was marketed.
