The Samsung C3050
I have to admit that owning a Samsung had never crossed my mind before as i have always been a Nokia Convert but after having my last phone stolen during a night out with friends i needed to replace my phone asap as it is an esencial lifeline for me for work.
I work outside and mainly in or on the water so i look for a phone that is tough easy to use and loud enough to be heard in gale force winds or over the hum of a large desiel engine and also is easy enough to use that i can phone use it to make a call or send a text with cold Hands.
So i headed out with the intention of picking up another Nokia as they had always seemed to me to be tougher then other makes unfortunately or i should say fortunately i was unable to do so i'm with O2 i had to opt for another make of phone i finally decided upon the Samsung C3050 as it was quite cheap when compaired to the other phones i looked at i honestly didn't think it would last very but would do to tide me over until i could pick up a proper replacement.
After 5 months using this phone i couldn't be happier and have still not bothered to look for a replacement.
The Phone making a call and sending a text
The buttons are user freindly so setting up the phone just how you want it is a quick and easy task unlike with some other brands of phone.
using the phone to dial a number or writ a text or just basically navigating around the menu screens is very easy to do i am especiaally happy with the options for texting something other mobile phone manufaccturers should take into account ng being able to turn off the predictive text so that everytime you want to write a message you have to switch it off time and time again is brilliant as i have never been able to get my head around preditive text
speaker/microphone quaility
the speaker and microphone on this phone are excellent even in bad weather cconditions (a force 6-7 Gale being the worst it's put up with the speaker is clear with no tinniness in the sound and the microphone clearly picks up sound very well too well in fact and has almost got me into trouble when i haave turned the phone away to make my nephews or dogs behave themselfs so be careful of what you say when your using it
Battery Life
Unlike somee other phones i have had this model does not have the long term legs of some of it's counter parts buit will still give you a good staandby time as i am writing this review it has just died and has been on a solitary flashing bar of battery since yeasterday
Round up
just like all other moden phones it has Bluetooth and a Digitaal camera aand more applicaations then you caan shake a stick at games calender stopwatch. The Camera gives a reasonable quality picture but falls short because the digital zoom is non exsistant to get the pic you have to get really close to your subjuct.
The only other problem i have encountered with this phone is the Alarm clock if you set an alarm and then switch it off for example you have a day off work and don't need to leave home at 4am you turn off the alarm and it forgets your settings so everytime you do this so you have to go through the irritatling process of changing all the settings everytime you set a new alarm if you are going to do this use a piece of music that you have downloaded to you phone this is because the defaault tone is very quite and there is a good chance it will not wake you up when you use it
Summary: for it's price it's a good little phone and there are worse you can buy in this price range
