Samsung Galaxy S
Advantages: Great screen, great processor.
Disadvantages: Cheap feeling plastic casing, No Flash (this is on S advance)
I have had my Galaxy S for nearly 2 years now. Initially some software (wifi) issues which were annoying but after a software update I have not looked back. The Screen is pin sharp and its still fresh 2 years on.
User interface (Google Android) is a well used and solid platform the processor has not suffered as upgrades are rolled out, initially to update the phone you had to sync it with Samsung's own software Kies. This may have now been resolved by Kies Air but that was not on the phone initially and I have not downloaded so can not comment.
Plenty of software on the google market to keep you happy and the screen and processor performance still keep up with newer phones. GPS and navigation all powered by google is very good though the GPS occasionally seems.ed to struggle - again since some updates this has become a lot better.
I have found the case on the back is fragile and cracked when trying to be removed to change sim. Which given the rest of the phone is pretty solid seems a silly design flaw so be careful taking the cover off.
Battery life is comparable with other phones in its category, decent camera but no flash can be annoying in dark environments. Otherwise I think it still holds up against newer rivals.
Summary: Would I buy another - Yes in-fact ill probably keep this for some time still.
