Advantages: Crystal clear screen, long battery life and responsive.

Disadvantages: Poor stock keyboard, slightly cheap feeling battery cover.

The Galaxy S2 phone has fallen by the wayside with the launch of the Iphone5 and the Samsung Galaxy S3. Despite this the S2 remains a fantastic product to use.
It runs on the Android operating system, can take a little while getting used to if you are coming for iOS5/6. Out of the box the phone has the fantastic Google maps app which remains unbeaten for finding your way anywhere.

The screen feels responsive and it holds a crisp image for photos and HD video playback. The HD camera is quite a treat running an LED flash and able to record HD videos. Browsing the web is easy enough and you get the full "flavour" with flash 10.2 as standard.

Active battery life feels long enough so you are never dashing between power outlets. Standby battery life is fantastic when you compare it to the iPhone. Easily lasting a weekend if you are trapped somewhere and behave miserly.

A slight drawback with Android phones is that the stock keyboards really do not compare with the Apple counterparts. Having quite large hands I also struggled with this keyboard. This problem was quickly solved downloading the Swipe X app, a keyboard that I almost always run on android phones. I also feel that the options button and back button should appear automatically when texting. Very minor problem though, I got used to it quickly.

The Android app market is awash with fantastic applications for the user to try, all easily accessed through the Google play store.

Summary: A great product, any drawbacks I found can be worked around via apps.
