Samsung Galaxy S2
Advantages: Sleek, pretty, versatile covers, great imaging
Disadvantages: Quite heavy and a pesky little bug
I have had my samsung Galaxy S II for about 5 months now. On the whole, its a good phone:
The look: Its got a huge screen which means you can see your images really well, its very sensitive to tough so you never have to thumb-bash it. I chose white, so its feminine too. the menu is user friendly and you can set up your home page so you have quick access to the icons that you use the most, for me, FB, camera, gallery, TFL, Internet and WhatsApp.
The Covers: unlike phones i have had in the past, you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for the covers, i have a lovely leather one with flowers on it, it was only £6 from amazon, bargain! though you really do have to get a screen protector - which is essentially clingfilm for about £12, but it will extend the life of the screen considerable. so far i have not had to buy a new one and it has stayed firmly in place.
The Internet: i know it depends on your area, but for me the internet is fast and reliable. the only problem is that when you book mark a page, it sometimes decides to simply disappear and you have to go through the process of finding, selecting and saving again.
The Camera: this is great, probably my favourite thing about the phone. really clear and adjust the light all by itself :-) you can also store loads and easily upload them to your PC in just a matter of minutes.
The Bug: this phone has a fault. If you are scrolling through your messages, wondering who it was you forgot to respond to, the phone suddenly locks, the screen goes black, you cannot get it to pick up any activity, you cannot press any buttons and it annoyingly calls the person whose name your unfortunate fingers happened to land upon! the only way around this is to hold down the power button for about a minute till it decides to respond and then reboot. similarly, if you have called a number that requires you to make keypad selections, the screen has the same tendency to lock and there is nothing you can do apart from re-boot. this is the only really annoying thing about the phone though.
The contract: i had to get 18 months so stuck with the bug but happy over all.
Summary: A great phone if yous text a lot and takes lots of photos, patients required for the occasional scre
