Advantages: Sleek, easy to use, Wi-fi

Disadvantages: Erratic battery, slightly slow touch screen

I got this over a similar Nokia model on hearing rave reviews; particularly the Iplayer widget available with it enabling you to download and watch anytime on your phone- even if you're offline (until the programme expires, that is).

Firstly though, I had to get the phone unlocked as it was locked to another network. On getting it returned, the widget had disappeared. I looked EVERYWHERE to download it, but to no avail. I asked the unlocker about it, and he said that on unlocking the phone, it changes the hardware (or something similar) and thus Iplayer can't work on it. Obviously losing the Iplayer widget isn't a sleight on this phone particularly, but it seems a bit much that unlocking the phone can mess up a few seemingly simple things like that.

I also had to pay to get Chinese put on the phone for personal reasons as this phone doesn't support Chinese (or other non-European languages).

However, these two problems are obviously limited to me and a few particular cases- it's not going to affect the majority of users so it won't affect my review too much.

The problems on this phone are mainly that the touch screen isn't so responsive (my wife HATES it), but one can get used to it fairly quickly. Battery life is also a strange one- it lasts for a few days, but sometimes the battery is eaten up massively from seemingly simple things like having the stopwatch on. Additionally, the battery will often go from 3 bars to no battery in literally about 20minutes of no usage.

Nevertheless, this phone is light, the keyboard is great for texting (never have to use predictive text now!), it has Wi-fi which is a great bonus for a phone in this price range. I love the small cheeky additions like the fake call where you record a message, and on pressing a button, it calls you with the message- perfect for escaping awkward situations. The camera is also fairly high quality for such a phone (3.2 Megapixels), and everyone else seems to rave about the covers ("fashion jackets" or something), meaning you can change the colour of the phone's backside with some of the covers provided.

All in all, a good phone with a couple of flaws, but if you're expecting more from a phone in this price range, then lower your expectations
