Good phone for someone who wants a cheap phone with a good range of features.

The criteria I was looking for when I bought my mobile a few months ago was decent quality, cheap, felt cool to hold (didn't have to be uber-stylish, but didn't want something clunky feeling either) and reliable. I have had the C3300k for about a year now and it has lived up to all those things.

The good things - the phone is very easy to use, with a really good touch screen. The camera is really good, especially for a phone of that size. It has a lot of features for this type of basic phone. One of my favourite things is the amazing battery life - one of the reasons I went with Samsung as I had previously had a Samsung with really good battery life. Sometimes I get surprised when it needs charging because I've almost forgotten that it needs charged ever just because it's been so long I can't remember the last I charged. I've not used all the features, especially the internet based ones because that can be expensive on pay as you go, but if you're looking for something that does the standard things you'd expect, and do them well, this is really good. It's really light, compact and to be honest, I also like that it is really shiny!

The bad things - there isn't much storage for text messages. 300 isn't a tiny number (I remember when it used to be about 10!) but my previous mobile held thousands and I like to keep funny or special texts. So I do have to spend a reasonable amount of time every so often running through texts deleting them (and every time you do, it defaults back to the most recent so it can take a while). It sometimes slips off hold in my bag (a button on the side puts it on and off hold), only occasionally, but I have picked it up on one occasion to find it sending my last text to about a quarter of my address book leading to some very confused friends and family!

Of course it is natural to remember the bad things and take the good things for granted and overall, I'm glad I bought this phone.

With a terrible history of losing and breaking my mobiles, it's quite the miracle that this one has lasted me a little over a year now. Given to me as a present at Christmas, I originally had this as the 'back up' phone in case my lg viewty ever got misplaced. It only took 2 weeks for this to happen and have been using this phone ever since. I was never the type of person to have to have the new model with touch screen and endless amount of apps and memory etc so this phone is perfect for me.

I have the silver model which I thinks less attractive that the black one. It doesn't look very modern and appears quite tacky when browsing and comparing with more shiny new phones. It is touch screen however, so good enough for me.

It doesn't have many features as it doesn't have the option of downloading apps. You can still download music and games though the quality of both isn't really worth the money. The games especially. It cost me £4 for a games of Tetris so certainly not worth it.

It has everything that a phone should need such as messaging, alarms, voicemails and call etc. It does have the occasional problems where for no real reason it decides to be tricky. Whether this is due to the fact that the touch screen can be delayed or just lags, on occasion it takes some time to flick through the menu. The alarm also tends to fail to go off so don't trust using this any more.

Though its not the best phone out there, its only around £40 and has everything you really need on a phone.

        Disadvantages

Simple cell phone with internet support, radio, nothing special but not bad

Before I had chosen this cell phone, I was not a big fan of touch display, but after I wrote some sms, I realized how fast it works. I had chosen this model without thinking about any specific properties, because I moved to France and needed a new cell phone with french sim card as soon as possible, so I chose the cheapest one, but I was quite satisfied with it. It is not heavy and large, it is quite resistant (I am so clumsy that my cell phones are more often in the air on their way down then in my hands and I didn't have any problems with this model, even after having a bath in the closet), internet, gmail, facebook worked without problems. Unfortunately, this model does not support the FRING program, so it was quite disappointing for me, because I needed it for calling with my boyfriend who was abroad.

          Disadvantages

          Samsung phone

          **Introduction**

Back in February of this year I was looking for a new phone after my Sony Ericsson K800i sadly died. At the time my mother was struggling to get to grips with her new phone and she let me borrow it whilst I looked for a new phone as she went back to her older phone which was she found was easier to use. The phone I was using was the Samsung C3300K. When I bought the K800i I had looked at a few phones including a couple of Samsung models yet decided to go with what I know and plucked for a Sony Ericsson. I used the
Samsung C3300K for around three to four weeks and felt I knew enough about it to write this review about my experience with using this phone and how I rated it.

          **Samsung C3300K**

This phone was announced in May of 2010 and released a month later and is also known as the Samsung Libre. It is a touchscreen and was the first touchscreen phone I had used. It's a slimline design which measures 96.3 x 53.8 x 13 mm and weighs just 80g. The screen is TFT and is a 2.4" touch-sensitive screen with a resolution of 240x320 pixels, It has full touchscreen usability. The phone is generally easy to pick up and use to it's full capability. The phone benefits from the addition of a 3.5mm headphone jack which allows you to use the phone as an mp3 player or connect a hands-free kit. Although the phone comes with just 30mb of memory it does have a Micro SD Card slot for cards up to 8GB which gives you plenty of functionality.

          **Availability**

This phone is widely available and comes in several color solutions, including deep black, espresso brown, sweet pink and chic white. There's the ability to purchase this phone on a number of different deals and network plans. All the major networks are covered here and the phone ranges from £35-£70+ depending on the deal. As usual the phone is of course available in both pay as you go and contract. I haven't seen that many people with one of these phones but from looking around online there are many happy customers it seems given some short reviews on mobile phone store websites.

          **The Camera**

Over the last few years the advancements in cameras on mobile phones have been astounding with the top ones rivalling similarly priced digital cameras. Sadly The Samsung Libre is not at the top of the list when it comes to decent camera phones with just a 1.3mp lens, However it does produce a satisfactory picture for easy scenes but it certainly doesn't match the more advanced camera phones although you wouldn't buy the phone for this area of it's capability. You can also use the lens for recording video although this is of a lesser quality than the still photos you can take on this phone.

          **In Use**

This phone has an excellent battery life with a stated battery life on talk time of 12 hours and standby of an amazing 27 days. I'm not sure about the latter but if you use your phone for emergencies only then it could certainly get around that length of time. The menus are a little awkward to get to know as you need to learn how little or much to touch the screen when scrolling through the different menus but once you have sorted it out then it's easy, Just a few days of playing around with the phone really. The phone doesn't always come with a usb cable so make sure you get one if you want to transfer your files to your computer and from your computer to your phone. There's also bluetooth and this is easy to use as ever.

          **Sound**

As mentioned this has an mp3 player function and the option to extend to an 8GB MicroSD Card, The inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone slot will suit people with normal headphones. How does this phone sound for Music? well certainly not as great as some but it does give above average music performance and calls are decent enough with fairly clear voices. There's also a radio for people who prefer to listen to the radio on the move. It's again not the best radio playback on a phone I have heard but certainly not as bad as it could have been. Just really depends on the signal strength.

          **Wap**

Like nearly every phone nowadays this also features wap Internet. Whilst the speed is obviously not as fast as more advanced phones you can still use a decent signal for the internet. If you use the social networks a lot then this is probably not the phone for you but then if you just use the Internet on your mobile phone now and again to check train times or cinema showings then it's ideal. The phone supports the GPRS & EDGE services. I thought the wap speed of this phone was too slow for me but I use wap a lot especially for the likes of facebook and twitter.

          **Overall**

This is a decent phone for the money and will appeal to anyone just wanted to be able to make calls and occasionally use the mobile internet and take photos as a second thought. It could be an ideal second phone if you have lost your more advanced one or just need a second mobile phone for work purposes. I would recommend this phone to older people as generally they are looking for less than a younger mobile user who is usually looking for social networks and various different apps and games etc. So in summary, This is a decent all rounder but look elsewhere if you want something more. Does everything but not that well.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Ok for a very basic smart phone

Both myself and my son have this mobile. Its takes a while to get used to texting on a smart phone so i probably wouldn't recommend for older people. There are very few ring-tones/sounds which is disappointing. You have to connect to the internet to access these and that isn't on my chosen tariff. . The message memory is too small, so if you like texting, be prepared to delete messages a lot.

The camera is fine and the image editor is quite fun. Would recommend as a first mobile for a young person or for someone who wants a very basic smart phone . i like the free pen you get which slots into the mobile.

Overall this little mobile is good value for money and i would recommend it as a first time mobile for young people or if you want a touch phone that is cheap and reliable.

            Disadvantages

Great phone for the cost and great for young people to use or as a backup

I have owned this phone for a while before my iPhone and it served me very well. It was more than worth the £100 I paid for it at the time. It does the job without any problems at all.

It only weighs 90 grams, which is nice and light. It's comfortable to hold in your hand and has a touch sensitive screen which, as long as you keep it clean enough, won't be a problem to you. It supports micro SD cards up to 8 gigabytes, so there's no problem fitting on music, videos or any random data that you need to carry around with you. It also features FM radio, a solid internet browser and mobile email as well as easy social networking capabilities. The camera is only 1.3 megapixels though, so that won't be setting the world on fire in this day and age.

I recommend it to anyone under 18 - it's not too expensive, it is very easy to use and looks fashionable. However, those looking for something that is cutting edge may want to look at something different because this isn't going to break any records. It's a good, solid phone but after using an iPhone it's really no contest. Saying that, I find it a great phone to keep in reserve if I ever have any problem with my iPhone and it's great to know that I can rely on it.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

As with many similar devices, the user manual is poorly written. Manufacturers need to realise that normal, i.e. non e-nerd people buy and use ( or, at least attempt to use) such systems. If they tried to ensure that their manuals were both readable and comprehensive, not only would existing customers be happy, and - unusually - be able to realise the full potential of their purchases, but their markets would actually increase. Get someone, ideally a middle grade teacher, to review and revise your manuals. For example, explain what you mean by a "widget", rather than have purchasers resorting to Wikipedia ( See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Widget , and choose which you think may be the correct meaning )Colin

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

Good phone, worth every penny, good for young people!

Well there isn't much to tell about this phone, but i love this phone as you get so much for so less!
I have owned high-end phones like samsung omnia pro and iphone 3gs. And honestly, this phone feels like using iphone 3g, under messages menu you can see the conversation, you can scroll up and down, or just have to slide left & right on the messages which is very excellent. The call logs are also very excellent that u can view all the details along with messaging logs. It has got everything that you can need from music player, radio, communities to contacts etc

One thing to remember is that this is not an smart phone, it has no wi-fi so don't expect much from it either. The screen is quite nice as it is very sensitive touch screen, very easy to type which is what most sms addicts would love. Perhaps perfect for teens or pre-teens as it is easy to navigate with the widgets, everything is customizable and it has a user friendly interface!

If you need more space then you can add external memory, one of the good things about this phone is the loudspeakers, it makes listening to music much better then compared to other phones with similar specs. It has FM as well, but not as great without the headsets.

The camera is not that great as it is 1.3 megapixel's only, but still good enough for the price you pay for this phone. It also has a bluethooth and an amazing file manager.

This phone is perfect for its price, worth every single penny and can be a perfect phone for the kids/pre-teens. The verdict - Buy it, its worth the money.

A great budget touchscreen phone with full of great features

The design of this small touch screen phone is attractive and cute. You can keep it easily in the pocket. The price is budget friendly but it has many great features. The screen is very clear and sensitive. The music feature is very good with 3.5 mm ear jack allowing you to plug in your favorite head phone. You can hear FM radio without ear set plugged, thanks to the built in antenna. It supports 4 GB MicroSD card, you can store many of your favorite songs.
The User Interface is fast, smooth and easy to navigate. Social networking is made easy. Though it does not support 3G, browsing the internet is fast enough. Facebook widget works really quick, you will get latest updates of all your friends. Battery life is good, you can always listen to musics without much affecting the battery life. The 1.3 MP camera can produce fairly good quality picture.
This is good entry level touch screen phone. It performs very well.
