I really love my little GT-E1080, especially the version 1080W version, which has improved storage capacity and some improved mp3 ringtones. The ringtones of this phone are quite loud to be able to hear it for example on public transportation or other noisy places. The speaker can be set to quite loud, and the microphone is also quite ... Just over the Christmas period, typically, since all shops and services are shutting down, my HTC smart phone broke, and I could no longer access my text messages. Considering that I live with my phone in my hand, and that I pay almost £30 per month for the contract, I decided to get a cheap phone which I could use with my contract SIM ... I'm one of those people who prefers having a basic phone than a phone that can do everything. Sure I would love an IPhone, but there's times when a fancy phone can distract you using a phone for its original purpose: calling and texting. Which is why i bought this very basic, little Samsung phone. I wanted a good battery life ... Read the complete review

It's cheap, has no special features to speak of, isn't overly attractive, but it's a phone. The Samsung GT-E1080i is small, black, and sturdy. It doesn't matter if you drop it, it always bounces back. I'd say the handset is virtually indestrucable, even the buttons look strong and at no risk of falling off, as you'd expect of a cheap ... After breaking yet another budget phone (dropped in the bath) I was scouring the shops for a cheap but stylish phone. After searching for some time, I picked the Samsung GT E1080, picked up for a bargainous £11.99 from Asda Home. I have recently become quite a fan of Samsung phones for their stylish designs and usability, this being ... Read the complete review

I got this phone as a cheap spare to keep for when either myself or my husband had phone problems. It was actually bought initially when my husband's pile of crap flip phone that he loved dearly gave up the ghost, and he used it for a few weeks while deciding what phone he wanted eventually settling for another Samsung that's pretty ... And that is really all this does. I don't use a phone for the Internet - we have a laptop, a tablet, and my computer + my husband has a smart phone if we need to check anything away from home. We have MP3 players for music, an excellent digital camera and a camcorder, and if I want to play games - there is Nintendo DS - in short I have ... Read the complete review

So my iphone broke and I decided I had had enough of the responsibility of carrying around an expensive phone all the time, and decided to get a cheap one that I wouldn't mind losing or breaking. This phone was not the cheapest that I could find (there was one for £6 in carphone warehouse) but this did look like the best of the cheapies ... Read the complete review

Changing mobile phone service providers is not difficult but it certainly isn't as easy as it should be, especially if you want to keep your phone and your phone number, which is what I wanted to do. However, when your existing service provider screws up, it does tend to make things overly complicated. I've been with Tesco ... Read the complete review

I bought this phone about 12 months ago now on the day I moved house and my phone decided to stop working! It was a moment of just needing something that functioned rather than anything else, and when taking in to account its purpose and price, it did the job. Samsung are a hugely popular and well respected brand that ... Read the complete review

A brand new phone is all everybody wants right? Correct, but I guarantee you that if you buy your son or daughter this phone on a 13th birthday or for a family Christmas you are going to be sadly disappointed by the confused and slightly betrayed expressions you receive in return. It's not the most trendy or most ... Read the complete review

I won this in a raffle at work well over a year ago now. I thought nothing of it and threw it into a cupboard. That was until I dropped and shattered my mobile and needed a quick solution. This is when the Samsung GT E1080 came into my life. All I really needed from a mobile was the ability to talk and text. Reading through ... Read the complete review

I have absolutely no luck with phones. Having gone through 4, no wait I think I'm on number 5 now - since October last year anyway, I finally decided that there was no point in spending a lot of money for me to break it within a month. So far in the past year I've had a Blackberry Pearl, a Samsung Tocco, a Nokia C3, an Iphone 3Gs & ... Read the complete review

I purchased this mobile for around £20 quite a while ago. The principal reasons were I wanted something EASY TO USE! and a standard mobile, a good brand and did not cost too much. And this little 2 kg in weight phone ticked all of those boxes. It is a neat size being width - 46 mm x depth - 14 mm and length - 107 mm. It fits in my ... Read the complete review

I wrote a review recently about Tesco mobile and the monthly tariff that I currently have through them with this particular phone - the Samsung E1080. I am in no way a technical person so firstly I cannot make much comment on a lot of the technical side, and all I really want in a phone is to text and to make calls, which was exactly why ... Have you ever found it very useful to have a back up phone in your draw at home? Isn't it really annoying when you have a rather expensive phone that you have broken or needs to be repaired the this one is a great short term back up. This Samsung only has call and text function but for some people this is all you need and a very low cost. Obviously as there is not many functions on this phone you do get a very long battery life and there is little to go wrong with it so I would say it is very reliable. The only annoying thing about it is it would be handy to have some sort of camera on it and maybe an expandable memory.
