Advantages: Nice Design

Disadvantages: You might lose friends

First let me say I have been dragged into the world of touch screen phones kicking and screaming. I am on a Virgin contract and the only option was for a touch screen phone. It is not going great....

So I am on the phone to a very good friend who is having man troubles. Lots of crying etc and what happens the phone goes dead - yet again my cheek has hung up the phone. Friend calls back complaining I hung up on her, she is clearly very emotional and just will not believe I didn't get sick of her weeping (which I was in fact hiding very well). Anyway long story short after much apologising I am forgiven.

Unfortunately since getting the Samsung Genio I spend half my life apologising, to my parents, family, friends bank etc - I'm sure you get the picture.

I don't know if it is ,ahem, my beautifully sculpted cheekbones or what but I cannot seem to make a call on this phone without it hanging up at some point. Even with the key lock on my dexterous cheeks some how manage to unlock the phone and hang up the call.

The other big problem is having to key in options when calling an automated line. The key lock has to be turned off to choose the option, put phone to ear to check the option has gone through and then my cheek goes and hangs up the call.

That said this is a nice phone. It looks quite sleek and the graphics are good. The sensitivity of the screen does take getting used to when texting but on the whole it works well. The camera is not great and most of the pictures I have taken look like they have sprung from the mid of Salvador Dali.

This phone is really designed for techie teenagers who I am sure will be able to take full advantage of all of the features and widgets that have passed by an ancient 30 something like myself.

Is there such a thing as a cheekoctomy?

Summary: Not for people with cheeks.
