Advantages: easy to use, looks good, good price

Disadvantages: lack of internal memory. No 3G.

When Samsung first brought this phone out in the market, I immediately knew I had to have it. It was the first cost-effective touch screen mobile phone they had brought out retailing at only £130. However this price has since lowered and you can now pick it up for around £70 on Amazon.

Initially the overall design was what first attracted me. The phone has a very simple design in Glossy Black but I was also offered it in a range of other colours to such as pink and white. There are three buttons at the bottom of the phones screen which are silver that control the calls, the back button and the menu. The phone is very light and compact With a weight of only 92 grams and the dimensions of 104 x 53 x 11.9 mm, it makes it the perfect hand held phone.

The phone has a huge range of touch-friendly practice facilities including a 3.2 MP camera with 2x digital zoom. The camera works best in daylight as I noticed during the night, the photos tended to come out very dark despite activating night mode. The phone also features a built in mp3 player and FM radio both of which are played out of a loudspeaker which is positioned on the front of the phone and produces the sound in great quality. You are able to control the volume for the music by a switch on the side of the phone. However the mobile phone does only come with 100 MB of memory which isn't exactly a huge amount for those pictures and music. However this can be easily solved as the 100MB is internal memory so you can improve it by buying a microSD card for the phone, I found an 8GB one was more than enough.

One thing the phone does lack is 3G which isn't a huge surprise given the phones low price. The phone does however have Wi-Fi and GPS which means it's still capable of going on the net and the large 3inch screen which helps make web pages very easy to view. The phones Battery life is a lot better than most other mobiles I have previously owned in the past. I found with normal every day to day usage the better lasts around 3-4 days before it needs recharging.

Overall I would say that this phone is a very good all rounder. However I do think the newer lower price is better suited to the phone because of its quality and features but it is still a very good budget phone :). I would recommend it yes.

Summary: A nice little purchase.
