Advantages: Camera, Large Screen

Disadvantages: Souch screen

Sansung MM880

Features: 8 megapixel camera , 3.2 inch display, 3G video calling, a music player & FM radio, accelerated web browsing, GPS

I bought the Samsung MM800 Pixon of eBay after my trusty Nokia N95 started having a mind of its own and would just call someone randomly when no one was touching it. I have always tried to get Nokkia's as I have found them reliable but I was put off by the price of the N95 upgrades, As I am on Pay as you go I decided to look at other brands.
The main reason for choosing the Pixon is that I noticed it had a 8.0 Meg camera. The camera itself is actually really good, it provides really clear crisp pictures in daylight conditions, the flash function is average however. The camera function does have loads of different functions which have been borrowed from the Samsung line of Digital Compact cameras, such as face recognition, anti red eye flash etc.
The video function is similar to the camera, really good in daylight and average in the night light.
The Pixon is a touch screen phone, as this is the first one I have had it took some time to get used to. I am still not comfortable with the text function, as it uses the touch screen numeric/alphabetic pad its very easy to key in the wrong letter. I think the touch pad is too sensitive. Also the space key is not as sensitive so I am constantly joining up words. If you turn the phone around the key pad turns to a qwerty keyboard, which is better but the area to tap for each letter is so small, that anyone with large fingers has a real problem.
Also a problem I have found is the scroll function on the picture gallery. As the phone has a motion sensor, if you slightly move the phone, it starts scrolling through your pictures when you don't want it to.
The phone does have a half decent web browser, which through my network (vodaphone) is quick enough for what I need. Again by flipping the phone horizontal the screen and text will change to fit.
I have tried to download one of the approved Samsung games for the phone (Pro Evo Football) and because the phone uses a touch screen pad, the controls of the game don't really work. It seams if you want a game where some element of control and movement is required then don't download it to your Pixon.

Good

Camera in daylight
Ease of use - Internet browser
Speed of applications
Battery life - I get at least 3 days
Nice large Screen

Bad

Touch screen when texting
Navigating through folders
Downloaded extras - games
No infrared
Large design - Chunky

In summary I wouldn't get another one, I find the touch screen more of a nuisance than anything. There are better options out there

Summary: Not bad but there are better phones out there
