Advantages: Cheap, fast, filled with features, brilliant for texting.

Disadvantages: Camera isn't great, easily scratched, plastic case seems easy to break.

I came across this phone a few months ago, looking for a replacement for my sweet Samsung U600. I wanted something with a touchscreen, it had to have a relatively good camera, a good music player and it needed to fit in with my low budget. I must say, the Samsung GT S5230 (Samsung Tocco lite) is perfect. It's a real, simple, easy to use phone with some handy extras for added fun. Looking at the basics of the phone, it pretty much just has a taste of everything you might need. The layout of the menus is very clear and easy to understand, the icons are a good size and scrolling up and down is quick and smooth. Texting is fast and easy, the touchscreen 'buttons' are farely large and accurate to the touch, so you can text without even thinking about it, and without making many mistakes. The camera is average: it's only 3.2 mega pixels and often produces blurred pictures if it is not held still enough, although it does have a video option which can sometimes be useful. There is also no flash, ruling out photos in dark lighting. I find that the music player is excellent, the sound is very clear with headphones and the loud speaker has great volume. The browser is quite good, it's not as slow as some phones and is easy to navigate with the touchscreen. The GT S5230 also includes the usual features such as FM radio (very handy), bluetooth, games, organiser etc... as well as a wide selection of widgets to play around with, giving quick access to several other options within the phone. Making and recieving calls is also very simple, and the sound is very clear and easily heard. Looking on the outside of the phone, it all seems very smart and compact. The back of the phone does feel very plasticy and cheap, and sadly it is very easily scratched, but overall the presentation is what should be expected of a touchscreen phone at this price.
If you're looking for an affordable, but up-to-date phone with a little of everything, then this may well be the phone for you. Texting and making phone calls is just so easy! And even now, several months after buying mine, I still find new things regularly when flipping throught the widgets and fiddling with the settings. :D

Summary: Easy to use, affordable phone with a wide range of features to meet everyones wishes.
