Advantages: Looks, Two Batteries Included
Disadvantages: Battery Life, Depth of Phone, Predictive Text
I have previously used an 8210, and a sony z5, these are the real competion for this phone. It is a great phone, but there are a few annoying things about it, which make both the 8210 and sony better buys. The first thing is battery life, it is really bad, ok you do get two batteries, but the thin battery lasts less than a day. While the bigger battery, which makes the phone very buky and heavy, lasts a day and a half, but i never want to use it, as it make thes phone too large. The samsung is heavier than both nokia 8210 and z5 phones, but its menu system is easy to use, esier than the sony's at least. It has the standard functions, eg organiser, calculator, to do list, but nothing out of the ordinary. One of the annoyances is that there is no user dictionary for predictive text, which is very annoying as you have to input certain words using normal text, which can get frustrating. It comes with a huge number of ring tones, but most of them are rubish. There are no profiles, there is a vibrate mode, but you can not set the phone to vibrate if you have a message. The reception of the phone is ok, not great, but the microphone is not the best out there. It does annoy people on the other side. A free hands free kit is included, and the buttons are easy to use. If you want a phone which is small, and looks great, works well, get it!
