Advantages: Stylish + sexxy + small (v.small), Good organiser features., Dual screen

Disadvantages: Battery life is low, picture Messaging, Cant think of any others

One thing to bear in mind when reading this review is that it is a personal opinion and your tastes may be different.
It all started when my parents purchased a Simpsons facias, i found that it was for a 3310/3330 and my phone was 3210. My father sugested that he would purchase a second hand phone to fit the cover, getting my hopes up. I went for a quick browse around various shops to find the 3310 at an all time low (£69.99), my hopes high on getting a new phone i returned home to find that my father had returned the facias. :( Any way this sparked another interest in mobile phones and i started browsing again for a different phone (lets face it the 3310 wasnt going to be very popular for much longer, you can tell by the price) thats when i notice the A300. Sleek, stylish and down right gorgous. I WANT ONE. I researched into the phone and read all the reviews on this site. I knew that it did less than its newer models (a800,t100) but still craved one. I had my heart set on owning this phone. i tryed my local Argos as they had the phone cheap at £130, no luck sold out, my sister rang all local phone stores, sold out. Eventually i ended up wondering about 30 mile from my home village and spending 2 hours driving around looking for Argos. I had got one of the last 2 in the store. Any way what does the phone do i hear you ask.
I got home and opened up the box. It contained two batteries, a wrist clip thingy, a hands free kit and a very very samll A300 (I had seen the phone when it was first released but a cant remember it being this small).

-----BATTERIES-----
Kindly Samsung give you two batteries, a normal and a slim line. The normal last about 2 days on standby and something like 8 hours while you talk, the slim line last about half but does take an incredible amount of weight off the phone. The batteries come ready charged but not to their full capacity (I put the slim line battery on and about 1.30 mins after findling with the menu it went
down to 2 life). They dont take long to charge either.

-----Screen-----
Of course you know about the dual screen thing. Basicly the outer screen displays details like time, date, signal strength, battery life, other little icons e.g when in silent mode, and the callers name (if in address book) or number.

-----Organiser-----
This has a calendar, to do list, time date settings, calculator and other niddley items.

-----Sound Settings-----
You are given 48 ringtones and the ability to save 2 which you make on composer. There are 10 message tones and some other tones im not sure on. The composer is not like the one included in Nokia phones (personally it is much easier to use, but thats because i am pretty good with music) it is like a real stave and you put real notes on it.

-----Address book-----
This is v.good. You can store 99 name + numbers on the phone then how ever many your sim can store (mine stores 100, im on Virgin mobile). You can store a number by entering it then selecting save, you can even select a previous call and save the number from that (unless number was withheld). You have the option whether the number is stored on the sim card or on the phone and put into a group. Each group can have its own name and icon, which is displayed on the outer screen when rang.

-----Wap-----
You probably allready know what wap is. Very basic. I havent used this yet and probably will not because it costs too much ( it took 4p off me just while i was trying to connect).

Over all i think this phone is brilliant. Cant top it. I does have a lack of downloadable ringtones (why download when you can just type in, its free), lack of games (if you really want to play games on the move then go and buy a Gameboy), no picture messages (well nothing to say apart from i am dissapointed about this) and no icons (again bit of a downer). But then this phone is meant as a classy item that attracts people when you
walk with it. Its like marmite you either love it or you hate it. And people say Samsung are rubbish, well if i wanted a Nokia i would have got a Nokia.
