Samsung SGH-A300: a reliable piece of electronics (92 words)
by - written on 12/01/04

The Samsung A300 is a reliable phone but with a rathr small amount of features. I like this phone because its easy to use, you dont even need a manual. I have had it as a spare phone and quite frankly it is more relible than my other phone which is an ericsson t39. I only use this phone for texting and phoning people and not for playing games ...  Read the complete review

The Samsung A300 is classed as being one of the more stylish phones on the market. People like the look of flip cover phones, and the brains at Samsung went that step further by placing a second screen on the front flip of the phone. The front screen has a blue tone, a calm one at that, whilst the inside has a standard green LCD display. Match the ...  Read the complete review

I bought my Samsung a few months ago, i have had four mobiles and this is the worst i have had so far i am counting the days until my contract ends so i can get an upgrade. I've had my samsung a300 for just over 6 months now and I can't wait to upgrade to something better. I, like many others, was instantly attracted to it's aesthetic qualities - on first site it appears to be a very sexy phone. The dual screens are useful in monitoring incoming calls, checking the time etc. Other than that though - there ...  Read the complete review

Aggravating, abysmal, and an altogether annoying piece of... no I'm not talking about my Samsung A300, I'm describing my first ever mobile phone, a Nokia 3310. After 3 years of treating it like a juggling ball and naively charging the battery before it had run down, my view on the phone began to change. My once prized piece of ...  Read the complete review

This is not an opinion, more a warning about the Samsung A300. There are many other opinions about how great this phone is, such as C Hagglers but this is just a thought to bring to your attention. This phone is incredibly susceptible to water damage. Most insurance companies charge extra for water damage insurance, so you think, well ...  Read the complete review

One thing to bear in mind when reading this review is that it is a personal opinion and your tastes may be different. It all started when my parents purchased a Simpsons facias, i found that it was for a 3310/3330 and my phone was 3210. My father sugested that he would purchase a second hand phone to fit the cover, getting my hopes up. I ...  Read the complete review

After furiously studying reviews on various sites to find and alternative to getting a Nokia (everyone has one, i like to be different) so i decided to buy a Samsung SGH-A300 on T-Mobile Pay as U Go The phone was beautifully constructed and felt like it belonged to you as if it was an extension to your body, but beneath the beatiful ...  Read the complete review

I upgraded to the A300 about 3 months ago now and it still looks as stylish as it did when I bought it, which unfortunately is one of the only good things about it. I live in the country and signal is pretty poor at the best of times, but my old Nokia's could cope with it, I could lie back on my bed and have a decent conversation, now ...  Read the complete review

Last Tuesday(at long last) I managed to get myself a new phone. Converting from my old brick phone to a brand new A300e. When you first get the phone out of its box, it slips together in a matter of seconds. Which is very useful for people like me who are not great with things like this. Also included in the box with the phone is a hands ...  Read the complete review

i LOVE this phone its so brilliant. i have it and i love it. The only thing that i dont like is that it doesnt have any games, picture messages or downloadable ringtones. I can remember when I told anyone and everyone who was listening that I would never own a mobile phone, that they were a waste of money and that they looked like idiots walking down the street with one. I 'bought' one of these around 3 months ago, just as Samsung had started giving them away for free with a contract. First impressions were good; the innovatively designed dual screen display makes for a very compact, quite flashy piece of kit. I walked out of the shop with a somewhat envious other half, who immediately wanted to swap for ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Samsung SGH-A300
by - written on 17/09/02
Rating:

One small step for man... - Advantages: Lightweight, familiar terminology and menus, Unlike some other models the predictive text messaging really works on this phone!!, Many settings adjustable so you can really tailor the settings to your own requirements (mostly!) - Disadvantages: Menu scroll buttons and a little small so hard to use without fingernails! If you are used to Nokia phones the punctuation menus will take a while to get used to as they don't seem logical!, Sound settings when activating phone cannot be adjusted so if you buy a phone for personal security this could compromise you., Vibrate setting does not work with ringing as the phone vibrates 3 times, then rings so if you haven't felt it you miss the call by the time it rings. Microphone quality is not great according to incoming callers and outbound receivers.

The Samsung A300 is a one of the only phones around today which has managed to catch my eye. As I am normally at least one season behind everyone else in a fashion sense I just got my Samsung A300 a couple of weeks ago. It is a really cool little phone and I love it.
