Advantages: Compact and full of technology.
Disadvantages: The bought out the D600
If your like me and your phone is like the love of your life, and finding your phone when you wake up before you go to work is more importnat than getting breakfast then I think you will agree with what I have to say.
I change phones like the wind but I have to say that each time I have a new one they get better and better but the D500 has put the icing on the cake.
It's smart - its has an amazing camera for both videos and pictures, it has a flash facility for those times your taking one in the darker hours.. It has an easy to use calendar which is essential for those of us who tend to miss out on the things we always wished we wrote down. It has excellent sound and the list just goes on.
It's compact - how can they make all these excellent features fit in one little package. The phones are getting smaller and gaining better features which maybe a downfall for the phone that came out the previous week to the newest phone but who would want them to get any smaller than they already are. Having buttons that your fingers are too big for. I think considering how much technology the D500 holds, its a perfect size for all.
It has loads of memory, I have recieved about 35 videos from friends of funny moments and joke videos, I've done about 20 videos of my own and I have got over 150 pictures plus MMS that have come through from friends and it isn't running any slower or saying I have ran out of space. You also have the space for 20 contacts on your sim card and 200 contacts on the phone.
It has an MP3 player which I never use so I couldn't comment.
It has got emailing facility which is really easy to use, you just need to ring up your network to enable it for security reasons, and away you go.
Just a few minor issues with the D500 though. It scratches very easily and they aren't them scratches that blend in with the phone cover they are highly visible and then everybody thinks you really don't care about the love of your life - THE MOBILE.
The other thing I think all phones tend to suffer will from old age and constant beatings from a night out or at work, is switching itself off. I hate that, you've just fell out with ya boyfriend and ya waiting for a text back and ya phone goes off on it's own, and when you finally manage to turn it back on the battery has drained its self.
But all in all this is a very sexy but sophisticated phone that deserves all the respect it seeks. But Samsung - you really shouldn't of bought the D600 out, why would you want to outdo one of own phones?
I also have a message to all phone companies, research your batteries. It is so annoying when your battery just dies on you every five minutes, just because you don't want your phone to run out on a night out. So you charge it before you go out, yeah only half the battery has gone but we need to make sure it aint gonna run out on us by the end of the night when we need to get a taxi home. And then your battery starts to lose it's life very quickly just because we didn't wait till the battery was really low. Im sure this is something that can be rectified.
Its like when you put a bulb in a lamp, and you switch it on for 10 mins to read a few pages in ya book. The next ya switch it on the bulb doesn't go and you dont have to fit a new one because you only kept it on two minutes the previous night.
But thankyou samsung for being the most recent love of my life.
Summary: It will always be one of the better phones.
