Sometime before in 2007, Samsung launched a beautiful sliding phone in popular GH series and that phone is still in our mind. The SGH-D880 a most popular model in 2007, with some good features and average price is still have some place in customers' heart.

The most important feature of this phone is its seamless dual SIM functionality and both cards remains active simultaneously. The very attractive feature is it and I really like as branded category phone with this feature first available in the market. Many other China branded phones are also available with dual SIM functionality but they are worst phone and only have outer beauty. You will find that they will become rubbish after little use. Nokia is also planning to launch dual SIM phone but till now we don't have dual SIM phone from Nokia. I am a fond of Nokia phone due to its long battery life, long phone life and reliability.

This phone has very impressive sliding design and we feel comfortable in hand with having this beautiful phone. The display size is average as present time and excellent of that time, it is about 240 x 320 pixels, display screen with about 256K colors TFT screen. Phone is slightly thicker than what we have an average thickness in sliding phone, it has about 19mm thickness and it is more than what is available slim phones in sliding category. One thicker phone in sliding category is Nokia E66, which I have reviewed earlier and it is really good as like this.

Memory support is main consideration for music lovers but there is no problem at all as almost all middle range phones have memory card slot, and there is very cheap memory card available in the market. But reputed branded card is recommended because the local non-trustable card may harm your phone or your phone might work slowly with these cards. So that has some good card with expending little more money and enjoys long life of mobile phone.

This phone has god internal memory with about 60 Mb, and there is a card slot, microSD (TransFlash), up to 2 GB supported. 2 GB is more enough for me but you can decide it as per your choice and requirement.
Phone has some connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE and USB 2.0 support. There is no scope of 3G and WLAN in this phone at the time. Now a day's middle range phones also have features like 3G and WLAN so that it is easy to get affordable mobile phone with these features.
Phone also has some other good features like digital camera with 3.15 MP, 2048x1536 maximum pixels, having good autofocus, and ability to capture videos. 3.2 MP camera in mobile is considered as good camera but there is not such a quality like in digital still camera. Digital still camera also dosent has quality like digital SLR camera. So due to portability and having not extra burden of still camera it is worthy good camera in this mobile.
Battery life of the phone is excellent with about 1200 mah battery and this is what we can get best from Samsung.
Phone is extremely good with its features and due to its dual SIM functionality. Have this enjoy this.
