Advantages: great features/great price/reliable/easy to use
Disadvantages: lack of memory/low pixel camera
The Samsung SGH-E250 is a very impressive phone for its market price. I acquired the phone 6 months gone and it has proven to be a sturdy hasstle free moblie.
The features are very basic in comparison with the latest models been produced, but the features it has are simple and uncomplicated.
The features that come with the phone are as followed;
----->VGA Camera with 4 x Digital Zoom
The camera on the phone is very standard and fuzzy due to the lack of pixal on the display (65k), and the overal camera quality. Saying this, the pictures are of an exceptional standard in comparison to the other phones in the price range. There are a few camera effects which include, Black & White, Negative, Sepia, Emboss, Sketch, Aqua.
The camera section on the phone has been overcomplicated by trying to simplise the navigational tools. I found it took some getting used to and a bit of luck. ie to change settings.
----->Bluetooth® Technology
Not much to be said about the Bluetooth, works fine as expected with a samsung phone. Easy to find on the menu with all the avalible bluetooth tools listed when selected on bluetooth on more+ on the the main navigational menu.
----->FM Radio
Never used due to no earphones provided with the mobile.
----->Music Player
Again my use of this feature is minimal as to the fact that you are only given 12mb of memory with the phone. There is an avalible slot for a memory card but I have never invested in one.
----->Alarm
My favourite part of the phone. The alarm is accessible from the main display and is symbolised by an alarm clock. You are able to set up to 4 scedualed alarms each with the option of what day to go of. For example you used the alarm for an 9am-5pm Mon-Fri job you could set the alarm to go of at 8am Mon-Fri and not to come on at all on a Sat and Sun, which is a very nice feature! The alarm is very simple and easy to use with multiply annoying ringing tones.
The mobile has a sleeky look with neat and tidy joints and fixtures. The slide is very durible and can withstand a modorate amount of pressure when open. Easy to press buttons not to ovious but plenty big enough for you fast texters.
The phone is very durable and I have knocked, bumped & dropped on many occassions and there is no noticable damage to the casing or the phone itself.
This phone is never going to compete with the leading phones now but this phone is super for texting and making calls or even for office use as it has a range of office tools avalible on it.
I managed to buy the phone for £20 from sainsburys with a free £10 topup with orange which was brillant.
-->Making/recieving calls
Dilling a number is easy enough with the keys been far enough apart for not to be pressing 2 by mistake. On the display there is a cool feature which shows the numbers dilled in a groovy style and colour.
The sound during a call is clear and quite loud with the option on changing the volume from the side button. The microphone does not recuire for you to shout down it but it does have slighty short hearing.
I also have to admit the battery life on the phone seems to be great. This may be becuase you don't play music or look at pictures/videos on the phone. It takes about an hour to charge and i have had the phone for 6 months gone now and it still will last for 3 days.
Over all for a very low budget phone you get your moneys worth, I am confidant enough with the mobile as to take it out on a gapyear round australia as i know it is a reliable and duarble phone.
