Advantages: Doesn't break!

Disadvantages: Automatic camera access button

Besides the ordinary text and call function, this phone does not have any outstanding features. That is, unless you are the stereotypical girly girl that this phone is blatantly designed for. Personally, the idea of having a 'pink calendar' on my phone is just laughable. In all fairness though, Samsung had developed an early version of the iPhone's 'apps', which now looks dated, but may well be useful for some.

In terms of usability, the phone is straightforward and friendly. A handy function is the ability to set your own shortcuts for the central navigation keys. I have it set to text messages, calendar, call register and alarm and use it constantly.

The phone does have a camera with flash and video capability. Handy if you forget your regular camera, but I wouldn't recommend taking your holiday snaps on it! The images are fairly good quality, slightly grainy, and transfer resonably well to a computer too. The main reason I use the camera is to display photo-caller ID for my phonebook numbers. This can either be extremely sensible with standard head shots or you can use your imagination! Beware leaving your phone visible in front of innocent minds!!

Durability is excellent. I have had this phone for about 4 years now, and nothing has gone wrong with it. Surprising, as I had previously been used to phones lasting about a year or so. This phone is definitely good value for money.

The only downside with this phone is more of an annoyance than anything else. The camera access button is on the side of the phone meaning I have literally hundreds of photos of the inside of my handbag. This doesn't have any effect on battery life, but means you have to regularly delete the automatically saved images. This is a fairly slow process.

Summary: Overall, a strudy, easy-to-use phone that will last you years.
