Advantages: easy to use, small and compact
Disadvantages: camera works itself
As an avid Nokia fan i surprised myself when i bought a Samsung and since then i arent sure i want to go back. When i bought this I was a little diorientated as different functions were in different places. I soon got used to it. As you enter the menu you are confronted with nine sub menus.
1. Messages containing:

multimedia message(pictures etc.)
voicemail(answer machine)
preset messages
broadcast
settings
memory status
2. Call records containing:
missed calls
received calls
dialled calls
delete all
call time
3. Sound settings containing:
Incoming calls(tones etc)
messages
power on/off
conection tone
key tone
minute minder(beeps every minute)
quiet mode
4. Phone settings containing:
Greeting message(when turn phone on)
display
language
security
auto redial
side key(function)
fax mode
infrared activation
reset settings
5. Organiser containing:
New memo
calender
to do list
clock
alarm
calculator
conversion
timer
stopwatch
6. Network services containing:
call diverting
call barring
call waiting
network selection
caller id(hide or send your number)
7. Fun box containing:
WWW services(internet)
media box
java world(your downloads/games)
games
8. Camera containing:

9. depends on network!
Also when you enter the phonebook that also has three more menus which i stumbled across accidently.
1. Phonebook containing:
find name
add entry
copy all to phone
send all via infrared
delete all
2. Management containing:
own number
group setting(friend/family)
memory status
3. Services containing:
service directory
They are all pretty much self explanitary. I find the phone a brilliant size for pockets or handbags. It is very stylish too. The time and date is displayed on the front window so you dont have to open the phone up to see it. The display is very clear and the colours are precise. You can customise your display to your own preferences. I have a photo of my son on mine and i have got rid of the text so i can see it clearer. I think the calender is great. If you are no good at remembering important dates there is a function to remind you of a forthcoming event, on the day, a week before its up to you. I wouldnt rely on the alarm as its too quiet for me. The text message function is easy to use too, you can choose between predictive text or normal text(you spell out the word). The only downfall i have found with this phone is when in a pocket the camera likes to take photos itself. This is due to a self portrait button on the side of the phone. The last thing I want to say is the tones are great too, i also download a lot for free. Anyone on O2 should be able to. Here is how to get to the site: go to menu number 7, then number 1 www services, then number 2 bookmark, then go to an empty one and select and type in after the http:// polyphonicringtonez.com/wap/index.php no spaces. hope this is useful to some of you.
Summary: A great phone, dont leave home without it.
