Advantages: looks great, 5mp camera, easy to use

Disadvantages: hard to find games, sometimes touch can be over sensitive

Every year I'm posed with the problem of picking a new phone to choose for my upgrade and not being an avid follower of mobiles like many of my friends I usually go for whatever looks best. That's pretty much the reason why I picked the Tocco!

The Samsung Tocco looks stylish, is fairly slim and at the same time light in it's weight. The screen is nice and big and the resolution is nice and clear. The 5 mega pixel camera is brilliant and the photos come out crystal clear even when taken in dingy conditions.

The user interface is fairly simple to use, the main screen has a widget bar which you can customise to have quick easy access to certain applications like the radio, mp3 player or calender. The main menu uses colourful icons and is laid out in a grid making it easier to access without the need for scrolling.

The actual touch screen takes a while to get used to but once you pick it up it is quite handy. However it can be a pain sometimes too! The one problem I have had is when scrolling through names in the phonebook it sometimes takes a while if you have quite a few numbers stored. The other problem is sometimes the touch screen can be a tad bit sensitive but the best way to avoid any unwanted usage in your pocket is to use the lock function.

The MP3 player is pretty decent and allows you to search through your music by artist, album, genre, composer or most played. Another great feature of this phone is if you store photos from a digital camera on your phone, you don't lose the quality of the original picture once it has transferred to the Tocco, something I haven't had much luck with on previous phones.

The one gripe I would have is the availability of games for the Tocco, due to the phone being touch screen it is difficult to find any decent games on the web for it, those you can find have been customised which often means you lose a portion of the screen at the bottom for the controls.

All in all the Samsung Tocco is a great looking phone with a great camera and packed with good quality features.
