Advantages: Good size, full of features
Disadvantages: no 3G or wifi
Owning only samsung mobiles for about the last 3 years, i found them to be very good quality, and packed full of features. This is my newest to my samsung lineup: the G600
Using a slide feature just like most of the other samsungs, i find this design to be the best, as i like the way in which sliding the phone down cancels all actions.
The thickness of the phone is suprisingly very thin given the features it provides (at around 15mm). Although quite heavy (105g), i felt this addition in weight makes the phone feel much stronger and durable, emphasising the phones brilliant build quality.
The 5 mega-pixel camera i find to be the most useful feature of this device, protected by the cover on the back, and then fully revealed on sliding the phone open. Photos taken at night are not that particualy good, but then again this is no SLR, its a phone. The large amount of featres provided with the phones camera are also very useful, allowing me to adjust a variety of settings. The flash, however, is a little useless, as it is only a small LED, and so doesnt illuminate my composition very much.
The music player integrated into the phone is also very useful and easy to use (especially with the 1gb memory card provided, and the onboard 55mb of storage). I am able to store 100+ tracks whilst stilling leaving plenty of space for storing my photographs. The music player provides several ways of accessing my music collection (by last played, most played, artists, genres, albums, composers...). The FM radio also comes into use, although the headphones are required for this to happen.
Calls on the phone can be made very well, with the device providing high quality sound, although i found the speakerphone to be a little too quiet even on full volume, although this so far has never been a problem.
Battery life is also very good, lasting for me usually around 2-3 days with general use.
Although this device provides no wifi or 3G (compared to the N95 for example) i found the g600 to be the most practical, as i never use 3G, and i could only access the internet at home through wifi anywy (where i would just use my PC).
Overal a very good quality phone, which is a perfect usable size, packed full of features. I would highly recommend
Summary: A good all round phone perfect for everyday use
