Samsung G600 (Silver)
Member Name: matt79uk
Advantages: Nice, solid feeliing phone that has coped admirably with my butter fingers.
Disadvantages: Some slightly confusing menus, limited ring-tones, sounds. Poor Apple Mac compatability.
I chose this phone chiefly for its five mega pixel camera which produces surprisingly good photos when you consider the lens (like on most phone cameras) is tiny. In decent light conditions the photo quality can be very good indeed but in low-light it's hardly worth bothering with as the flash has rarely produced good results in my experience.
The main features and operation of the phone are all reliable and straightforward with decent looking menus (if not the flashiest these days) and generally its very intuitive to use.
Having come from a Sony Erricson phone I did find the organsisation, particularly the location of certain 'applications' a little confusing at first but you I got used to it pretty quickly.
The slide action is pleasingly smooth yet solid feeling and despite having dropped my phone on numerous occasions the mechanism is still working perfectly.
Overall I've been pretty happy with the phone apart from a few minor annoyances. The G600 (depsite my best efforts and research) will not sync to an Apple Mac computer to exchange contacts etc, even when connected via USB. Bluetooth features (again with Apple macs) are at best limited, at worst, broken.
The only other thing I found a bit annoying (due to several of my friends having the same phone) are the limited selection of text and alarm sounds.
Overall though its a solid and capable phone that has withstood all the abuse I've managed to give it so far.
Summary: A good solid phone with plenty of features for most people.
