A nice easy to use phone which may begin to start showing it's age soon (Samsung SGH-G600)

Advantages: good quality, doesn't break the bank, internet is good, keeps charge well, easy menu system

Disadvantages: poor camera by contemporary standards, no longer cutting edge

When I bought this phone nobody seemed to have it. Mainly down to good reviews and good build quality however, I have seen a massive increase in their numbers and everyone I personally know who owns one is very impressed indeed.

The slide feature is very appealing and it seems to work very well. In black I feel it is very stylish and the fairly large screen is easy to see and has a great deal of clarity. Some people find the buttons quite fiddley...I however do not and actually think they are quite well designed. The menu system is accuratly laid out and logical - without being ground breaking compared to newer models.

Overall I this phone is starting to show its age despite being very nice to use. There are plenty better models out there in terms of technology, but I don't think you'll go far wrong with this if you want something which still copes well with calls, texting and internet use.

I would have to point out a downside however in the way that the cameras stated '5.0 megapixel quality' performs. This is NOT a true 5 megapixel camera...the chip simply cannot deal with it. The resolution is quite good, but in terms of shutter setting and aperture, don't expect hugely great focus, low light performance or cropping ability...general spans only...does not really work for a night out or whatever.

Summary: A good buy, a phone which I have been very happy with. Don't expect miracles, however.
