Advantages: Very customisable and robust
Disadvantages: Greasy screen shows up
I've always been a fan of Samsung phones, ever since I started using them... 4 phones ago. Due to a contract upgrade (with limited choices) I ended up with this little beauty. I wasn't big on slide phones but this one has exceeded my expectations.
It's nice and chunky and a good weight to hold as well as being stylish in shiny black with a hint of silver. Plus points for me on this phone are:
- Nice weight/size
- Easy to slide up and answer calls
- Very customisable in terms of the profiles on there
- Lots of tones and rings to choose from
- Back is easy to remove to access the SIM card/battery
- Volume control on the side makes for easy adjusting whilst on the phone
- Keys have pleasant click and are a good size to use
- Contains mini SD card
- Good camera (5 Mega Pixels)
- Hitting the wrong button/having to close it half way through writing a text results in the text being autmatically saved
- ROBUST... I have dropped this phone numerous times, twice in the toilet and have expected it to give up the ghost. But with a little careful treatment and drying after the water accidents it has survived them all with only the occassional blip to show for it.
A few negatives I have noticed:
- Whilst it is a nice size etc, it's so smooth I sometimes find it slips through my fingers!
- Fumbling in my pocket/bag for it has resulted in my answering/hanging up on someone who is calling me
- Screen needs constant cleaning to remove greasy marks
- As a texter I find the 200 text limit is quickly filled up but luckily there is a "delete multiple" option which allows you to select which texts you want to delete.
Summary: Excellent little phone
