Advantages: Attractive design, light weight, good value

Disadvantages: Battery is difficult to remove for sim card insert

Bought the pink version of this phone a while ago, I was attracted to the pink reflective surface immediately. However, as I was trying to remove the battery so that I can insert my sim card to turn on the phone, it proves impossible to do. Basically, there are no catch or grip to slide the battery off easily . This problem has been notice by many user as I search on the Internet to see if I was doing anything wrong, turns out to be a design fault which is frustrating. In the end I have to turn to a tiny screwdriver to gently get the battery to come loose by force and unfortunately scratch the lovely reflective back cover badly. It did come out in the end and I've covered the back with some pink sparkly cystal now to jazz the scar up! Overall, the functions are good and easy to use, good benefit will be the big number/font display which proves handy for the elderly or long sighted and one of the reason my Dad go for Samsung models.

Summary: An average good value phone with useful functions

Its a samsung secret on how to get the battery cover off.
And ill let you in on it, shame it wasn't before you attacked it with a screwdriver!

B ut the phone inbetween both your palms (preferbly with the back facing your right palm if your right handed) and push down on the middle of the back of the phone (battery cover) with the bottom of your palm.
Then slide your hands in opposite direction to each other, making sure its in the right direction the cover slides open (the opposite way to which the phone slides open).
And hey presto if you've applied enough pressure it just pops off.
Took me an hour or so to figure out but I was determined.
