Advantages: Price and sylish appearance
Disadvantages: Doesnt automatically save sent messages, internet access very slow
I own the J700, it's by far my first choice of phone that's out there but I made the sacrifice of a good phone to get one of those Carphone Warehouse deals and get a PS3 for the fella.
It's a phone that does everything a phone should without many little extras that you get nowadays.
The phones features include a 1.3 mega pixel camera, one that I have never even bothered to use. The quality isn't great, in fact it's pretty shocking. The camera also doesn't have a flash, so there will be no night time pictures taken on this phone. I do however have quite a lot of pictures saved which people have sent me and there is still room left over so the memory capacity for this phone is ok.
The phone also has access to the internet. Something which I find necessary because I like to keep an eye on my Ebay purchases. Its rubbish. Its soooo slow and that's when it decides that it actually wants to connect to the internet, you have to keep trying and eventually it will work. It does have the ability to save pages that you visit often though so that's useful.
I cant really comment on the music accept of this phone, I've never really used it so I couldn't tell you whether it was good or bad, I haven't used it because the memory comes from the phone memory. Same as the photos so I don't really have the capacity. HOWEVER, there is space for an Micro SD chip if you should require this.
The messaging facility on the phone is basic. After months of having the phone I still don't know where some of the symbols are and it doesn't automatically save sent messages. The message capacity is 200ish messages.
I have seen the phone in black, silver, purple and pink. I own the pink one.
From everything I have said though don't let it completely put you off, I have seen this phone in many supermarkets for about £50. That's really cheap for a phone these days.
Its also very stylish, small but not too small that you cant use the thing. Ideal for small handbags and clutches on nights out.
Overall - when my Contract is up next I wont be getting a J700 again but if I lost a phone or needed one on the cheap this would definitely be the one that I bought.
Summary: Would buy again if i needed a cheap phone
