This Samsung phone definitely looks really good for it's price, it has a really nice design. In my honest opinion, the screen could have been a little bigger if you ask me. But the display itself kicks ass! It's really bright!
I've owned this phone for almost a year, I got it for free via my bank, it was some kind of discount, about 100.000 people in the netherlands got it. I still know a couple of people who use this phone daily.
I really liked the features on the phone, I like that it supports mp3 ringtones and that it has a radio tuner. One down thing on the radio though, it's not very good, it has a bad reception.
One big downside on this mobile phone is that after a year it started to break down, I used it in a normal way, but suddenly it would just reboot out of nowhere. It does that every time and vibrates when it does that, that's quite annoying when you're sleeping. Also, sometimes it'd reboot while vibrating and it would be vibrating for almost half a minute.
But other people I know who have this phone don't have this problem.
I bought this phone on the Tesco mobile pay as you go tarrifffor under 25 pounds as a present for my 9 year old son for Christmas. It has all the functions he wanted in a phone - camera mp3 player - downloadable ringtones are available for it and blue tooth so that he and his friends can send photos etc to each other. It was very well recieved and the camera function tested straight away. The picures were great when taken in good lighting, but when taken in candlelight/dimly lit rooms the quality was not always brilliant. He loves the mp3 function and has since uploaded most of his tracks from his mp3 player. The bluetooth function has also been tested and found to work perfectly. The video capture however proved to be its best feature - at least on Christmas day. I was very impressed with the functions available and the quality of them on such a reasonably priced phone. Ideal for youngsters if you are worried they may be mugged for the more flashier versions.
I bought the Samsung M150, for £30 on a pay as you go tariff on Tesco mobile. It's now on the website for under £25.
The mobile is silver and very light and in my opinion looks very up to date and sleek! The mobile also includes Bluetooth, which is extremely easy to set up and use on the mobile in order to share files with others.
I particularly like this mobile for the built in MP3 player as well as been able to tune into the radio! This is a highlight of the mobile especially if you enjoy listening to a bit of music whilst waiting for a bus!
Camera: The camera takes photos as well as records video clips, the quality is pretty good for such a cheap mobile and I've uploaded them easily onto my computer. The only down side to the camera is that there is not flash so taking photos in a badly lit room produces shaky or poor quality pics. Overall I have found the camera very satisfactory. There is 20MB internal storage so plenty of space to take photos!
There is a selection of pre-installed ringtones, although I prefer to download my own which is easy to do on this mobile. You are also able to send and receive picture message once you have set up the proper settings (usually by texting the network provider, in my case Tescos was very simple, they sent me a text and bang, I'm ready to send my pics!)
The downside to this mobile is that I'm not very careful with my mobile and have dropped it quite a few times, which have resulted in the mobile sometimes unlocking itself and switching itself on/off. This is a bit annoying, but I am happy to put up with it as the mobile was very cheap and I hope to invest in a better model asap.
I would definitely recommend this mobile for its simplicity to use and it variety of function for the small price! It's a handy little mobile, and with better handling would probably last a lot longer!
