Advantages: Awesome ringtones!, Lightweight/Sleek design, Good feature set/sturdy
Disadvantages: No FM Radio, No InfraRed, Bad default ringtones
Positives: 1) 16 layer polyphonic tones (20, 12 of them are changeable, and 5 other slots for downloadable or composed tones) [this is probably the best feature of the phone and the main reason I chose it, the tones sound so good it's so real, I dunno about you guys, but here in Syria for $5 USD. You can get the whole set of tones changed, and we have many many collections of Arabic/English tones. It is true that the default ringtones that come with the phone aren't that good, but when you install some good ones. They sound so damn good you would have to think twice before picking up your phone when it rings :) 2) Looks: very lightweight (83g), nice keypad, hard and sturdy, making it very ideal for the SMSer, the small is quite small and thin tool. 3) Very bright BLUE LCD screen. It is so crisp and makes it very easy to read messages and navigate through the menus. 4) Games: instead of having 10 stupid games like the former samsungs had. It has 3 but respectable games with nice sounf effects/vibrations 5) Voice commands, Voice dials, and voice memos (upto 2 minutes for the memos of recording) along with speed dialing . And Samsung has also included an answering machine feature built into the phone, so no need for using the regular voice mail. 6) Very sweet looking service light and the ability to assing them to users too. Ranging from Red, orange, green, blue, light blue, purple, yellow, etc.. 7) The ablility to assing any polyphonic tone to specific users Negatives: 1) As usual with all the stupid Samsung phones, no Tone + Vibrate at the same time. It's either Tone, Vibrate, or Vibrate then ring. Now that is really stupid for such sweet mobiles, even the V200 Samsung doesn't have this feature which is a standard on all Nokia phones. This forces me to leave the setting at tone, since i don't wanna wait for 2 rings to start hearing the tone wh
ich is already very long. 2) No FM Radio. That's a real shame for such a nice little phone. 3) The earphone that comes bundled with the phone is a girly one. It is designed to be worn around the neck, It would be very short to put your mobile in your pocket. So you have to wear the damn mobile as if it were a necklace. Now I don't know about you but i definately wouldn't do that . 4) Cannot change covers. You will have to stick to the color that you bought from the beginning to the end. So as you see, it doesn't have any real bad points, but rather small faults that would've made the mobile flawless if they didn't exist. It is an all in all good mobile, with good reception, and a good battery life, and is equipped with a fast travel charger which charges the battery within a maximum of 2 hours if the battery was full dead. 1 hour if the battery is in a weak-medium state.
