Advantages: Slim and light. Very Stylish
Disadvantages: Slow to use
The Samsung U600 is the slimmest slide phone, even slimmer than the trendy D900 which is now replaced by u600.
I bought mine for 85 pounds which is a dark blue colour.
It has an amazing 3.2 mega pixel camera if you look how thin the phone is, with flash and 4x digital zoom. If you take a picture of a business card it recognizes all the field and enter them automatically, this is a new feature. It also records videos in mp4 format and the maximum video size is 352 x 240 which is good.
It has a 2.2 inch TFT 262k colour screen which has great graphics because I downloaded 'Horton hears a who', converted it into MP4 format and saved it on my phone to see if it works and it worked. The movie has exactly the same size as the phone screen and has very good graphics. I also downloaded a trailer and when I played on my phone it looks like an extremely high resolution TV screen, nearly HD.
The Samsung U600 also comes with a music player which is also great. But also gets a bit slow when changing the song. It supports MP3, WMA, ACC and some more formats. It has an FM radio and you can also have MP3 ringtones.
You can have your recorded video as your wallpaper but it has to be of a specific size. It comes with unique wallpaper which changes with day and night. It also rains and sometimes you can also see the clouds and the birds flying around.
It is JAVA enabled so you can download java games from the internet. It also has some original games in the phone.
When looking in the organizer section you won't be disappointed because it has a calendar, memo, world time, stopwatch, timer, multi alarms, converter and calculator. You can also send memo through Bluetooth so when you are in lesson you can text other people for free.
It has a Bluetooth, USB connection, EDGE and GPRS.
It has an internal 60 megabytes with Micro SD memory card expansion port which is quite cheap. I bought my 2 GB card for 17 pounds in mid 2007, it probably cheaper now days.
It weights only 81 grams with a thickness of 10.8 mm. it has a stand by time of 240 hours and a talk time of 3.5 hours.
You can also e-mail from this phone. If have not tried it yet so I don't know how much it costs.
Thank you for reading my review.

TheChocolateLady - 06.04.08 Again, you write really well (and at least this review has been spell checked), but please remember that this item is in telecommunications and therefore, you really should let us know how this works as a phone. |
