I got this phone on a PAYG contract as I was looking for something that was smart looking and easy to use to replace my old Sony.

The looks are great, with subtle gold coloured trims and a smooth matt black case with a slimline design, snappy sliding function and good looking keypad. The black LCD screen is incredible with great imaging and pixel resolution making taking and viewing photos real fun.

What lets it down though is its so fiddly to navigate. I like phones that are really intuitive without having to obtain an understanding of the manufacturers jargon or mindset. It took me hours of poring through the manua and fiddling with it to do even simple things like uploading my own ringtone.

The keypad was also not particularly good for my ham hands.

So for me its more a matter of style over substance if you're a bit of a technophobe. If you're really into mobiles and the confusing array of functions doesn't faze then you'll love it.
