Advantages: Stylish, has all the basic features
Disadvantages: tochpad can take a while to use properlly
I have had my Samsung SGH-U600 for over a year and it works great and I am glad I bought it. It cost me £80 (pay as you go) then so it may be possible to find it cheaper now as with all other electrical appliances prises will be dropped when newer models come out.
One thing you will notice straight away about this phone that it looks really stylish which is great as its a joy to look at. Its also very slim so you can fit it in any pocket.
It has tons of features including a 3.2 Megapixel camera. The pictures quality is absolutely brilliant but the movie quality could be better. It comes with 60MB internal memory which I found was enough for me as I don't store a lot pictures or other things on my phone. If I do take a picture I will always put it onto my computer which is easy to do with this phone as it has bluetooth. It does however have room for a microSD card if you find that you need more memory.
A problem that you will have with this phone is the touchpad buttons. These will take a while to get used to especially if you haven't owned a phone with touchpad buttons before (like me). However after a while I could use the buttons with ease and the touch sensitivity can be adjusted if you are still struggling. I still do end up accidentally calling people because of the touchpad but the call can be easily cancelled before the phone even attempts to ring the person.
Overall this is a great phone if you are looking for a good phone that looks stylish and has a big screen. It also has all the basic features you would expect a phone these days to have.
Summary: A great buy.

- 02/09/09 My son had this phone and I thought it was really good. However after about a year the touchpad suddenly became very unresponsive. However he is only 12 and is probably a bit tough on his phones so I should be amazed it lasted that long! x |
