I loved this phone when I first got it, however after owning it for a few months some things began to irritate me. You arent allowed to put an mp3 as your message ringtone. The touch buttons were very temperamental and sometimes just wouldn't work. Other than this the other features of the phone were good. The camera on the phone takes great ...  Read the complete review

I got this phone as a christmas present last year, and I've still got it. Sounds unremarkable? Well, I tend to go through phones like they're water... The fact that I've kept this one for 11 months and have no plans to replace it soon is remarkable for me! I have the U600 in pink, which is lovely but the colour is starting to scratch ...  Read the complete review

This phone has been out for quite a while now, and is yet another great phone produced by samsung. It has a touch sensitive pad along with a keypad and a 3.2 mega pixel camera. At just under 80£ this phone is an absolute bargain. Its lightweight, includes lots of features, for example, image stamp, image editing, mms, sms, video player ...  Read the complete review

Samsung are the king of making the new slim phones the samsung U600 is a big phone for samsung because it sets the design for alot of other samsung phones for example the samsung D900 and the D900i. Your first impression of the handset is that it's very shiny which makes it beautifull to look at also the light weight at only 81 g it's ...  Read the complete review

The bit I liked best about this phone is the sleek design. It was so slim that you could hardly feel it in your pocket and the glossy finish was a nice touch too. It was available in purple which swayed my decision away from other brands. Apart from its appearance I am bitterly disappointed with its quality. The dictionary was not ...  Read the complete review

I have had my Samsung SGH-U600 for over a year and it works great and I am glad I bought it. It cost me £80 (pay as you go) then so it may be possible to find it cheaper now as with all other electrical appliances prises will be dropped when newer models come out. One thing you will notice straight away about this phone that it looks ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Samsung SGH-U600: A slim phone with a good package (177 words)

This phone is the thinnest phone I have had. So slim I often can not feel it in my pocket. It's looks stylish and has a slider to access the keypad. The main menu is simple to use and can be viewed as white background with dark letters or vice versa. I think that the white background suits it better. The touch buttons on the screen are ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Great phone - slim, light and good looking (like the owner). (205 words)

This is a good quality phone - but make sure you have the U600i, not the (older) U600. Some shops will insist that the two versions are the same, but they aren't - the newer version doesn't have all of the annoying glitches of the older model. It's a great looking mobile - very slim and very light. Definitely more stylish than some of ...  Read the complete review

A very nice handset, the Samsung U600 has all the features you would expect from any modern phone. The menu layout is similar to that of most samung phones and as such is easy and intuitive to use. The camera, although not able to match some of the newer more photo-focused phones, is perfectly adequate for common usage. I have also ...  Read the complete review

This phone is hard to describe. When i first bought it i was over the moon, it was one of the slimmest on the market and it looked awesome. Most of my friends wished they had one. Then, after a while, I began to get annoyed with the touch screen buttons. If i was for example taking a photo, and it was one of them photos that you only ...  Read the complete review

Hmm... i'm not sure i can be too over enthusiastic about this phone. as they go, it is very good looking. it's sleak shiny and sexy. I like the black finish. however, where it really comes down is usability. it has one of those button systems that relies on skin contact rather than manual depression - so there is a short ...  Read the complete review

I ended up getting this phone once I broke my fancy pants phone. Silly me for not having any insurance, but still I found this phone to be suprisingly better than I had expected. I have owned this phone for over a year now and have come to consider it a fairly good phone, particularly in its reliability. Over the entire time that I have owned it, it has just had the one time in which I have needed to take it to a repair shop. However I must admit that this was not due to the phone's fault, as I had dropped it from quite ...  Read the complete review

I have very mixed feelings about this phone. On the possitive side, the battery life is fairly decent and I only have to charge it on average every 3 days or so (bearing in mind however I dont use it for music, games or internet), the camera is of good quality and visually its a very nice looking phone and the screen is great quality, even when in ...  Read the complete review

I have an orange contract and get an upgrade every 18 months. Due to the ever changing technology 18 months is a rather long time to have a phone so you want to make sure it's a good one! Express Review on Samsung SGH-U600
by Joshua - written on 21/03/09
Rating:

A very nice looking phone. It has many nice features. The sound quality isn't the best, camera takes above average pictures. It was a very nice phone until one day it had no sound. The sound just stopped working. I have no idea why. I never dropped it or anything. I had it for about 4 months. Now I have to get a new phone. Samsung phones are usually good, but not this one. Stay away from this.

I have to say, I'm not one of those people who is obsessed with having the newest, best phone on the market, but I am a fan of Samsung mobiles.
