Advantages: Pretty, Easy to Use, Variety of Features, Good MP3 and Camera facilities
Disadvantages: Screen gets scratched easily- recommend getting a case!
I upgraded to this phone as I had previously taken a risk and tried an O2 brand phone.... this however broke down bit by bit and I decided to go with a Samsung as I have had them before and they have always been reliable!!
I chose the soul as it is a pretty phone you can personalise to make unique to you. I also preferred this over some of the other newer Samsungs as I enjoy the touchscreen navigation panel, but i don't like touch screen in the whole phone because the screen goes all smudgy and horrible and also i find i always make mistakes when texting.
The soul is really simple to use as a phone- ie. calling, texting and WAP. I would advise when texting though, if you need a symbol that is not accessible with the "1" key, hold down the # key- this took me a while to work out! Otherwise texting is really easy and you can switch between predictive and non predicitive text easily.
The music player on the phone is also fairly simple to use, I just synced my phone up to Windows mediaplayer and transferred songs that way, without installing the discs that come with the Soul. I don't think it makes any difference whether you use those discs or not.
The camera is a bit more complicated to work out how to use, particularly if you want to use the settings, such as taking the flash of, changing revolution or using effects such a b/w, sepia etc. I would recommend giving a thorough read of this part of the manual!!
Overall I think the phone is great and would recommend it completely!
