I have had the Samsung Soul U900 phone on contract for 18months now, and have to say I am not nearly as impressed as I thought I would be. The look of the phone is very stylish, the touch screen pad is very easy to use and efficient, however, the flimsy coating on the phone is very easy to scratch and as a result of constant use every day I have needed to have the phone replaced once already.
The phone is very easy to use, and has all the common facilities available, however the Samsung phone is more for those who just want a basic phone with the basic functions. The sound quality is poor, and the camera is shocking. I previously owned a Sony ericsson k600i and only replaced it with this due to a new contract, however I was incredibly dissapointed, and wish I had never left Sony.
Although the phone looks very stylish and receives many compliments on its look, I personally find the features to be quite bland, and boring. A shame really as it has great potential but doesn't quite meet the requirements of todays advanced technology. I have since used other Samsung phones and find the menus and screens to be consistent on previous models, therefore it could do with a more up to date look when using the facilities. Having said all of this the phone works very well as a basic phone, and is very reliable. As to whether you should invest - only if you want to look good without the difficulties of using modern technology.
