I got this phone recently - and I have to say I just love it. It is sitting on my desk now... it looks so cute! It is such a sexy phone - just look at it, it's beautiful.
Now, lets get on to the review. Looks-wise, i think it scores 10 out of 10 - but that's down to personal preference. Friends of mine have said it looks like a calculator out of the 80s! So that's completely your opinion.
Feature-wise, I think it's pretty good - it has games, a 2 megapixel camera, plays music, everything that I want from a phone.
However, there is no Flash - which other phones are starting to have no - but as long as you are in good light, you can usually take a pretty good photo.
Also, memory is not great - 80MB - enough for a lot of photos, and about 10 songs - so if you are looking for a phone to listen to albums after albums on, well, this isn't it. But if you want a phone to be a phone, and occasionally maybe listen to a song if you're really bored, like me, it's great!
Unlike certain other phones (motorola's, sony ericsson's, nokias) that i've had in the past, this phone has not crashed once since i've had it.
The phone is bluetooth-enabled, which means you can easily send photos, songs, etc., between your phone and your computer, and between other phones too. You can also use wireless headsets.
Although it is thin, it is surprisingly sturdy - i think it would be pretty difficult to break.
The only major downside is the battery - for me, it generally only lasts a day, or a day and a half. You can't really go a night without charging it.
So yes - if you want a pretty phone with plenty of features at a basic level, the samsung is for you! Also it's not that expensive. Enjoy!
Yes, SAMSUNG has set the record, of producing the thinnest mobile in the world, of a mere 6.9mm. As a matter of fact, you wouldn't believe how thin this is until you touch this work of 'miracle' - because who would have thought a moblile could be this thin and functional?
And there are pros and cons of being this anorexic. Here are some of the cons and pros;
It has a small screen of 1.8inches, and it is not a normal vertical screen but horizontal. It is brilliant though, 256K. The keypad is well proportioned, nicely layed out and importantly, very comfortable. The internal memory is around 80MB, which is quite good, but then the huge flaw is the no memory card slot. The handset supports EDGE and bluetooth too, and of yes, it is extremely thin.
Being this thin could become a con, but if you really like the statement, then it is for you. This is probably why there is no memory card slot, because to be honest, the memory card may be thicker! *lol*.
There is no infrared on board, though IR isn't widely used. Amazingly enough the camera on board is 2MP, and it is pretty good, though not good enough to satisfy. The design is conservative, and this is mainly due to the thinness of the phone.
This phone really is not for everyone, and there are many flaws to this phone as a result of the size and design. But if design is for you, then I do not think this handset will disappoint - it certainly is an eye catcher.
