Disadvantages: What about the men?, Heafty Price Tag, which should come down though, Lack of MMS
This is it ladies, the greatest phone you'll ever see and ever want is here. The Samsung SGH-T500 is here. It's not just a mobile phone, it's a statement, it's an accessory and it'll make sure your feeling okay. That's right, you heard me, the Samsung T500 is the first mobile phone that monitors your Wellbeing through bio-rhythms. From a scale of -100 to 100 it can rate you based on your daily physical, emotional and intellectual cycles. Customer: What rubbish! Don't believe me, then go down to any shop which will soon be selling this beauty and try it out. After getting home from a bad day at work the T500 instantly picked up on my negative biorhythms. This is the future of technology for women. And why women? Well this phone also contains special programmes for calculating BMI, counting the calories you've consumed and a Pink Schedule to keep track of your menstrual cycle. It will also access how many calories you've burned during the day from your input of daily activities. Customer: So this all come in a brick shaped phone then? Nonsense! As usual from Samsung the flip open, stream line shape is almost perfect. As shown by the picture above you can have a red clamshell phone. If Ruby Red isn't your colour you can opt for Silver, Sapphire Blue, Pearl White and Topaz Gold Size-wise, the phone is 7.6cm long by 4.4cm wide and a mere 2.3cm thick, and is pretty light at a minor 80g. What is so ostentatious and feminine about the T500 is the fact that the caller display (LCD) on the outside of the phone is enclosed by 32 cubic zirconia. These even flash pink and green on occasion. The LCD can also show animated black images when the phone rings and when on standby can show a choice from 1 digital clock, 6 analogue clocks and 5 screen savers with sophisticated designs. There is also a choice of 6 embedded images and 8 downloadable ones for the internal screensaver.
> Customer: Being the technological craver that I am, what is so advanced about this phone? Well it may not have a built in camera, but who needs that when you have what the T500 has: - Internal LCD with 65,000 Colour - 128 X 128 Pixels - Biorhythm measurer - Dual Band (GSM900 / DCS1800) - White LED with 5-line text & 2-line menu bar - Bluish-White Keypad Backlight - Musical Composer -Nokia compatible melodies Customer: How long can I keep talking on my new wonder-phone? With the Lithium-ion 800mA battery you can talk for up to 3 hours. There is a stand-by time of up to 120 hours and a charging time of a mere 2.5 hours. Customer: What if I get tired of this marvel? Well then keep yourself occupied with a choice of three games: Bowling, Hamster Box and Honey Ball. These games are a vast improvement on the Nokia Snake and will keep you happy for hours. The only downside is that there isn't a difficulty level option. Customer: After admiring the many features of this phone I feel that I have forgotten something? Well this is also a phone don't ya know!! With Smart Messaging and Voice dial you can chat to your friends without barely lifting a finger. No friends on the other line? Well let the Samsung T500 listen to you with it?s intelligent Voice Memo. Customer: But hitting keys all day is so wearing on my newly polished nails! Never fear! The Samsung T500 comes with Voice Command for those emergency moments! Customer: This has left me feeling rather creative? Then switch over to the Musical Composer where you can create your own ring tone. But be warned, those without the magic ear may find this slightly tricky! Why not use your WAP instead and have a quick surf around using the 4-Way navigation button. Customer: I'll take it! Well with your Samsung T500 you?ll also receive User's guide De
sktop charger (not for European delivery kit) 2 Batt eries Microfibre Portable handsfree set You may also receive other accessories at the dealer's discretion. Overall I think that this is one of the best phones that I have ever had. Although the learning curve is pretty steep once mastered, using it is like a dream. This is a must-have for all handbags. Favourite Features: Biorhythm measurer, calorie calculator, LCD mirror and the Cubic Zirconium. The Voice Memo is pretty cool too! Most difficult to master: Musical Composer (But then again I was never that good at music!) Missing Features: A camera and MMS capability The most user friendly: The keys Customer: Any other surprises for me? Take a look at the price at the bottom of the page?

- 25/03/04 My wife had an old Samsung, the original A300 but we had to get rid of it because it was impossible to get a car hands-free for it. We looked at the T500 but it has just too much missing; no camera, no bluetooth and only dual band. |

- 01/01/04 P.S. I think the Pearl White and Gold Topaz (is it?) are the best... especially the white one... (thats the one I own) |

- 01/01/04 I got the phone for Xmas... and it's great! It's useful, beautiful and everything else a girl may expect from a cell phone... it is a big hit on your pocket though BUT my friend just got back from Russia and you can get it there for an average of $400.
Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friends... having 32 "diamonds" surrounding the outter screen, Samsung T500 IS a MODERN Girl's Best Friend! |
