Advantages: Triband, Good Games, Reliable
Disadvantages: Memory, Camera (nothing fancy)
Vodafone offers great Sharp phones, ever since the launch of the GX10 it has been quite successful as it was one of the "first camera phones", with a decent look and useful functions. However, the release of the GX10i only brings triband in. Unless you're the type of person that likes wondering around worldwide, such as to America or Asia or around Europe, there is simply no reason to get this phone if you already own a GX10. Put that aside, if you didn't own a GX10, then it is worth buying the GX10i. The different color of the GX10i is quite attractive, giving it a shine of grey. The camera was decent back in the time it was released. However, there is no function differences between the 2 phones. It acts more or less the same, I have yet to notice a difference (and wasted £250). A great deal of games is available from Vodafone Live!. Most cost between £2-5, but I have got to admit that the games are good. This is especially true when you're out and about and waiting, firing up one of these games will surely keep you entertained. With quick loading times and music and sound effects, games come up instantly! Reception is good. I find that I'm able to get reception in most places, except the underground, of course. The phone doesn't cut off and you can continue your conversation without interruption. Battery life goes well for 2 days of average use before you need to charge it again. Otherwise, I charge mine every 3-5 days or so. However, with the limited memory available, and soon it will get clogged up with games (they take up the most memory), you'll find yourself deleting games/pictures/sounds just to make room for more games/pictures/sounds. The camera can take pictures at 0.1 Megapixels so don't be expecting to use this camera to take fantastic pictures. The phone doesn't come with a connection cable so you can download pictures onto your P
C. The cable isn't even sold by Vodafone. I've only found it a eBay so far ... however it does come with a cable and CD for the modem software/drivers so you can use the phone as a modem. There's also a ringtone editor, allowing you to edit ringtones. Overall, a decent phone with lots of features. Shame about the camera and lack of memory.
