Advantages: Small and light, Easy to use
Disadvantages: Starts to creak after a while
What a little gem this phone is! 5 months ago I decided to upgrade my Siemens C25 to a WAP phone. I liked the styling of the new range of Siemens phones so decided to stick with them and get the C35i. Once I'd ripped open the package the phone was very easy to set up, and within just a few minutes I had transfered all my phone numbers from my old phone to the new one. I was very pleased that there is a separate phone book button and liked the ability to add icons to each phone book entry. Straight away I knew I had made the right choice buying this phone. The menus were in the most, intuitive and I did not have to spend a long time hunting around for what I wanted. The addition of 4 games did, I admit, sway me even further, although I have since realised that these use the battery up far to quickly. Sending text messages is easy, and the C35i has an intelligent text feature whereby you only need to press a button once for all the letter options on that button, so for example you would press 287 (equating to atp on most phones) and it would bring up 'cup', if instead of 'cup' you had meant 'bus', then all you have to do is press the menu button to cycle through the other letter combinations. This is great in theory, but at times can be a little annoying when it doesn't recognise your word at all, and you have to go back and enter it manually! As far as WAP is concerned, I very very rarely use it. I have come to realise that it is slow and costs too much money to be worth it. The one thing I have found it useful for, is sending emails on the move, but at an average of £1.25 for a 10 word email it really is something left only for those occasions where I simply have no other option. One final useful feature this phone has is the "Battery Care" function. This gives you the ability to completely discharge the phone's battery before recharging it to help prolong the
life of the battery. This phone is great if you want a compact, light and easy to use WAP phone with lots of features, but don't want to be overwhelmed by the choice of Nokia ringtones and logos. The only real criticism I have is that after a while it starts to "creak" when you press the buttons. But that's really only minor and otherwise this phone really is a great friend to carry around with you.
