Whereas the 7110 had the WAP facility and that slider in order to show off to clients, the S25 impressed with the 'colour' screen and excellent size. Even today, it is smaller than some c...more

Premium Review Siemens S25: The most reliable phone ever? (1213 words)
by - written on 16/06/03 (Very useful, 828 readings)
Rating:

I am increasingly aware that I need to keep a spare mobile phone. It seems to happen to me too often that I have problems with my two main phones, and very seldom will a company send me out a replacement phone, so something which will definitely bridge the gap between the start of a fault and the end of the repair is very useful. It is this that the Siemens S25 has provided for me. Bought from Ebay for the princely sum of £18 a few months ago, my example did not look particularly appealing. Despite its silver cover, next to the Siemens C45 I currently own, it does not just look two years older, but twenty years older. The external aerial, the black buttons and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review C25's big brother (updated). (455 words)
by - written on 23/06/00 (Very useful, 113 readings)
Rating:

Siemens have come along in leaps and bounds over the years and with the C25 and S25 they finally clawed back some of that mobile phone market share. The C25 was aimed very much at the younger end of the market with its customisable ringtones and pre-programmed DJ ringtones. To be brutally honest the main selling point of a mobile phone should NEVER be to do with ringtones but hey, that’s stupidity for you. The S25 is the bigger and better brother to the C25. When I say bigger I don’t mean size – both the C and S25 are very small phones. This is certainly part of the reason why I have chosen Siemens on this occasion. The S25 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Siemens S25: S25 Review (342 words)
by - written on 26/06/00 (Useful, 137 readings)
Rating:

The Siemens S25 is a wonderfully designed, compact little phone with a host of features and very few drawbacks. The S25 incoporates a three colour display which is backlit (so you can see it in the dark, some people actually find the colour display annoying, and would prefer a normal one - this has been fixed in the new Siemens 35 series), a large phone book, excellent call logging facilities (time, date, caller, name given if the caller's number is logged in the phone book), a voice memo facility that you can use like a verbal notepad (which is activated by a small button on the side of the phone), some great included games, including a 3d maze game, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review colorful! (209 words)
by - written on 23/06/00 (Useful, 165 readings)
Rating:

This is only the second mobile phone that I own, and I am not too picky. For me, there are a few things that are important. The battery should last a reasonably long time. the Siemens S25 does alright in this area. With normal use, it lasts about 2-3 days. It should be small and light. This phone is a nice size and the buttons are not too small, so its easy to use even if you have a larger hand. Some nice functionalities. Having an internal modem, its possible to use this with my Palm Pilot and WAP directly from the Pilot. I have tried and failed, but this is more due to my Palm version. Its nice to say you could do this though! ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Siemens S25: The S25 beats any similar phone in the market hands down. (171 words)
by - written on 06/04/01 (Useful, 129 readings)
Rating:

I have owned my Siemens S25 now for over 18 months and in that time, no other mobile phone manufacturer has come up with a better product which has made me think I need to change it. It looks and feels great! The menu system is quick and efficient enabling you to gain access to the features of the phone with no hassle at all. The speech quality is fantastic and you can also record your own voice memo. The fact that it has a colour screen is simply a bonus as it is rammed with features such as melody composer, customisable 'shortcut' keys, internal modem, built in infra-red, the ability to send and receive data and faxes, calculator, currency converter, ...  Read the complete review
