Advantages: wap, loaded with gadgets, pretty
Disadvantages: scratching the phone will really piss you off..
This phone has presented me with a dilemma; I SHOULD say "run out and buy this phone now, it's fantastic!", but the problem with that is that if I do, then this phone will end up being ten a penny, a la the Nokia 3210 etc, and I'll stop getting all admiring glances at my handset.. Seriously though, this phone seems lacking very little; it is light, at a shade under 100g, and compact enought to fit into your pocket, or if you desire, fit on the optional belt clip ( which incidently is extremely well thought out - it has a mounting, allowing the phone to pivot to match your body position, very useful when you sit down), and absolutely LOADED with cool features. For example, the voice recognition chip not only can be used to dial friends numbers, but can be used as a voice memo/dictaphone - speak a mesage into the phone, and set the time for it, and at that the time, the phone will cal lyou, and play you your message back - very cool... The phone has full WAP access too, with a very nice 7 line display too, and 300 number phone book too ( although that does depend on the sim card you have), and speech quality is very clear. The calendar/organiser is a very nice touch- if you can't bear the thought of blowing around 200 squid on a PDA you don't know if you need, try this out first. The vibrate alert is another useful feature, although the ring tones aren't as pleasing to the ear as the bosch phones. Any problems ? Well the keys on the phone, stand proud of the phone, and they aren't as sensitive as the new nokia's keypads, so text messages and the like can feel quite a chore, til you get used to it, after which you wonder what all the fuss is about. My verdict ? The more stylish alternative to the nokia 7110. Price for phone quoted is through virgin, offline - contract networks will probably cost around £100
