OK let's start by saying that this is my first ever-mobile phone. My parents bought it for me as a Christmas present in 1999 when it first came out as a pay as you go phone. I LOVE MY SIEMONS SL10 and I have never met anyone else owning it! Nor have I sat in a pub without someone saying "Hey Funky Phone!" so if you want to make more friends (and free drinks) buy this phone and your troubles are over! (Lol;-)) Whenever some people see it at first they ask, "Where are the number keys?" and this is because they are hidden underneath a sliding compartment making the phone very compact and fun to use! With the keypad hidden under the sliding front the phone has a very minimilist look (if it didn't have an aerial it would be great), and a rather Matrix-esque way of answering calls by sliding open the cover. It is very compact while easy to use too and it did not take me long to understand how to use it. After a while of use I was not to happy with this phone. It was beggining to become increasingly annoying for various reasons; The phone made a beep sound every 2 minutes which became rather annoying, when a text message was recieved it did not show the name of who sent it but rather the SMS number which became annoying too. The display strained my eyes as it is not very clear, and the buttons often didnt press down when I pressed them. My verdict, buy ... Read the complete review

The SL10 is a handy little phone neat and compact with a good sized coloured screen, it has easy to use menus, and a good battery life. But you could have problems finding a hands free kit or in car charger which i find vital for a phone, i have had my phone for about a year but still carnt get any parts i need. So come on Siemens dont create a phone people carnt use in there car, this is really a good phone that just needs those little extras. ... Read the complete review
