Advantages: Functionality, Style, Size

Disadvantages: Intermittent Power Issue, Can be too small for some people

I Love this phone, really love it. The styling and functionality are excellent, and having always had Siemens phones, am sure that this is the best one yet, lets face it, even Posh Spice has one !
Unlike others I find the phone very easy to use, but maybe that is because I am used to Siemens phone's and their functions - somewhat different to the more common Nokia's etc. There is one small problem with this phone which you should be aware of before purchasing....power.
Because of this problem I am on my fourth handset, (thank god for Orange Insurance), my three previous phone's all had a slightly annoying habit of switching themselves off, even with plenty of charge left. I contacted Orange, and Siemens about this and whilst orange advised me that this happens quite frequently, Siemens advise me that it does not. I suppose that Siemens must (like everyone) have an acceptable failure rate, and I'm sure this model is within it, however, it really has happened to me. It is not a power saving feature, or me being stupid it actually does turn itself off from time to time, maybe it gets bored ?
Such is this phone though, that it has not put me off, and (touch wood) my fourth version of this handset is behaving itself.
I love this phone, and would still recommend it to anyone. Be Inspired, and Enjoy.....

Welcome to Dooyoo.

A few tips to get you started on the site: Although there's no limit on the amount of reviews you can post it's better to post just three a day then you'll find you get more reads. If you read and rate around the site you'll soon find out what should be included in a review plus you'll get known to other members which will result in them reading things that you post.

It?s always a good idea to write your reviews as though you are writing for someone who has never heard of the product, that way you?ll cover everything. Also it?s best to write your review in Microsoft Word and run a spellchecker before posting onto the site.

You can ask any of the guides for help with any aspect of the site and a list of all the guides can be found here http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/c ommunity/_page/advice_gui des/. They will do everything they can to help with your query.

You may have noticed that there are no capital letters on reviews that you post on the site. However, there is a fix for this and full instructions can be found at http://www.chuckleweb.co. uk/fixit.php.

Lastly you can sign up for your own guest book at http://www.crosswordcheat s.com/tooyoo/ where you can chat with other Dooyoo members.

Above all I hope you enjoy it here and have fun :O) Sara

As below.

Personall y I've had no such problems with my SL55 in over a year. The only problem I have had which started recently is that the 'down' arrow on the D-Pad doesn't work, although after a year's heavy use I can't really complain if that's all that's gone wrong, eh?

But time and technology move on and I'm sorry to see my SL55 go as I have now replaced it with a Sharp GX30.

Oh yeah...welcome to dooyoo!

Thanks for the warning.

Some extra info on the phone would have been useful too, how long does the battery last when it doesn't turn itself off, does it work in the US, does it have a camera etc.
