Advantages: easy holding, nice backlight, looks good

Disadvantages: Menu system, Battery, Its Sony.. What else

please please please, do not choose this phone as a part of a package/upgrade. It is a lovely phone to look at and can impress others with its charms.. But hey, others don't have to use it!

Bad points:

* Very flimsy flip up lid, which as it has a notch either side to allow for easy opening, it doe's get caught on many occasions, either in hand or clothes.

* Menu system is hard to navigate with very limited configuration compared to Nokia's and original Ericcsons (before sony merged).

* Battery life is pretty poor when backlight is in use (which I feel is always required)

* No Infared... I didn't realise this before I took the phone, and am really p**sed because of this.

* Extras are expensive, and so far they are all Sony made.. No cheap fakes which do the job.

* Poor quality of ring tones and never seems quite loud enough for when you are out on the street, so you end up holding it in your hand most of the time.

* Vibrate feature is as bad as feeling an earthquake in Japan, whilst having a cup of tea in England.

There are other bad points, but I'm just about to leave work (sorry)

Good points:

Nokia don't really have any competition and continue to make decent "usable" phones.
