Advantages: All the usual features, good camera, durable, good size

Disadvantages: Lost some features from previous models including the very useful torch function

Over the years I've become a bit a of a Sony Ericsson mobile phone regular. In general I find their phones really easy to use, the menu system is simple, easy to navigate around and sensibly organised, and once again this phone lives up to those basic expectations I have from any Sony Ericsson phone.

As for the features of the phone, again you get most things you would expect. This phone comes with a 5 mega pixel camera, which is good quality, however obviously a phone is not designed solely to take pictures. If you want to take really good quality pictures, buy a digital camera, if you want to be able to take the odd picture of decent quality without having to lug around an expensive camera, then this will do the job. As with most camera phones is still struggles in the dark. The phone does have a built in flash however this isn't great. Some of the previous SE phones I had had constant light function which you could use as the flash for taking pictures, and could also be used as a torch which was extremely useful. For some reason SE have stopped this feature, which I was a little frustrated about. Being able to use your phone as a torch I always found to be one of the most useful features of previous SE phones, however some bright spark has decided to do away with that (excuse the pun). The phone has a nifty little quick slide function which brings you straight to the camera for any moments when you're in a rush to get your picture, which is quite useful, although that said, the time taken to capture the picture is usually a second or so, as opposed to instantly when you press the button, so the usefulness of that feature is slightly worn off. One feature the camera does has which is quite useful is one called "Best Pic". The phone will take 10 pictures within the space of a second and then you can pick the best one from 10 and delete the rest, so hopefully you get a picture where everybody has their eyes open!

The phone plays MP3, captures video, surfs the web, connects to the radio all stuff which most people will almost take for granted if buying a newish phone, but rest assured they are all still there and work perfectly.

A lot of my previous SE phone had the odd nifty little extra feature, for example the last one had a program which showed you guitar chords. Alright its not really that useful, but its just a cool little extra part that adds something to the phone. Unfortunately however this new SE doesn't have anything like that. So don't expect to stumble across some cool little function whilst your sat on the train playing through the menu's.

If you like games on your phone then I'm afraid you're going to have to splash some cash and download them as the few they give you on the phone are rubbish. One is some fishing game suitable for people under the age of 5, and the other is solitaire. Does anyone still play solitaire?

Battery life is still pretty good, another feature I have found with SE phones. I've had the phone about 6 months and I would say I charge in every 3 days, although I don't spend hours on the thing so do bare that in mind.

Looks wise I think it looks pretty good. I find the size perfect as it just big enough to notice if it falls out your pocket, but small and thin enough not to annoy you. It also seems pretty durable. I've accidentally dropped the poor little fellow quite a few times and other than few scratches to the paint its survived very well.

All in all its another good phone from SE, and you get everything you expect you just don't get anything you don't expect.

Summary: A good phone, you get everything you expect you just don't get anything you don't expect.

I have this phone and love the games on it... there is also the third game need for speed type thing..... And there is a light function... it is just more hidden than it ought to be.
