Advantages: Great quality camera
Disadvantages: Short battery life
Before I write this review I will confess to being a bit of a Sony Ericsson fan - with my last 4 phones being Sony Ericsson brands, I will try and keep an unbiased opinion though ;)
I got the C902 on a contract upgrade in January of this year, after 7 months useage it is definitely a firm favourite of mine.
The main draw to the phone for me was the five mega pixel camera and although there are phones with better cameras available I didn't like the bulkiness of them, where as the C902 still manages remain a nice slender phone.
I like the slide action which switches it from phone to camera. The screen has a few touch screen buttons which can be used to switch between still photos and video. They can also change the autofocus, flash, self-timer and other functions. One of the best features of the camera is the face detection setting which automatically focuses in on a face when taking a picture. The camera comes with a LED flash which isn't quite as good as the xenon flash on my previous K810.
On 3G networks you can make video calls.
The C902 takes an M2 memory card which I already had as my previous one took the same. If you intend to use the camera feature of the phone then this is a much needed purchase as the internal memory doesn't last very long once you get snapping.
I found all the other features of the phone easy to use but as I have had a few other SE phones the format has been the same, a new SE user may struggle to begin with but you soon get used to the lay out.
You can add your own music to it in MP3 format either using the USB or memory card if you have a card reader & adaptor, you can then set these as ringtones which saves on having to download them, or use it as an MP3 player with the added bonus of the FM radio.
As a mobile phone it does everything I could want it to do, I can make and receive calls, send text messages and MMS. You can use it to check your emails too.
I do find that after a few months the battery life doesn't seem to be too long.
Can be bought on PAYG for around £120.
