After recently getting the Blackberry Bold and sending it back I decided to get the Sony Ericsson C905 but this time I had no 14 day returns policy so I had to be sure that it was going to be a good one! Sony Ericsson are a long established name in making mobile phones. Back in the day when they were separate entities the phones made by these companies were regarded to be very good for the time. More recently they have focused on varying ranges in their mobile phones. The two main types of rages are the 'C' range which is called the Cybershot range and has the main selling point of its camera and the 'W' range which is the Walkman range. There are numerous ... After a string of truly dreadful phones from LG I was more than happy to return to old faithful Sony Ericsson. You know what are you are getting with Sony and despite being unimpressed by my wife's Sony K850i I fell in love with my C905 from the minute it landed on my doorstep. This is a phone that goes back to basics. After owning numerous flawed touch screen or semi-touch screen devices it is an absolute joy to get back to some good old fashioned buttons. Not a single touch screen function in sight (unlike the weird hybrid that is my wife's K850) and the phone is all the better for it. This is a sturdy, weighty beast of a phone and lacks the style of ... Read the complete review

I got this phone purely for the 8.1 megapixel camera as I have a habit of leaving me digital camera at home when I need to take pictures. The camera itself is good and the only down side is when having to zoom in on long distances but then again it is a phone not a camera! I have previously had 2 other sony ericsson phone which have had there own little ways i.e turning on and off when they wanted, freezing etc. so expected something to happen with this one however, within a short space of time of getting the phone 6 weeks, so just outside the 28 day return and get another, the speaker had gone so you could only hear someone on loud speaker or with the hands ... There are good and bad points about this phone and while the good points are very good the bad points are very bad. The overall design of the phone is very good and it looks very slick with a big screen making the visual effects very good. The camera quality is very good, both for the camera facilities and the video facilities, the sound on the video is excellent and it is the best camera phone I have used. The applications are very good, with good features such as the calculator and calender. The memory on the phone is very good, however this is with the memory card included which came with the phone when I had it. The texting features, battery life and ... Read the complete review

The Sony Ericsson C905 is the latest in the long line of Cybershot phones, fabled for their apparently ability to pack in more technology to their cameras than any other make of phone. At the time of writing (31st March 2008) it is an absolutely top end phone that will only get for free on high tariffs, and will cost you an arm and a leg if you decide to opt for it on Pay As You Go. But for a phone that promises so much and costs so much more, is it worth it? WHY I DECIDED TO GET ONE My 18 month contract with Orange recently expired, and as part of my retention deal I was determined to get a new top end phone. I was (and still am) incredibly happy ...
