Advantages: easy to use, promising features
Disadvantages: slow, slow slow!
When I was going to upgrade my phone around six months ago i knew that this would be the phone for me. I was impressed by its list of features it almost seemed that it would almost be like a smart phone. I have been let down greatly by this.
As a phone it is easy to use, sony ericsson's menu system is very easy to use and simple to pick up, you can always find what you are looking for! There is the option to go from either SE's panel system as a menu, or you can choose a list type menu. This shows that the phone is adaptable and you can customise it to suit your needs and your want. Messaging is also good the conversation system is very good as it allows you to see previous texts with the person who you are talking to easily with out having to go looking for them.
Another good plus point is the 8.1 megapixel cybershot camera, the images are clear and for a phone the quality is good. There is also tons of options with the camera, plenty of different effects that you can choose from, face detection, shoot mode etc.
There is also a gps system on the phone but this costs an extra £30 or so and i have not used it but never the less it is a function their which can be used if you so wish. Also i have only ever used the radio once and it was ok, nothing special, I have used my phone as a loudspeaker to listen to some music and i have found the sound quality isnt the best especially at higher volumes.
However this phone can be very slow at times, can often take a few seconds going between menus, and when the phone has a lower battery it seems to take an eternity. I have found that the battery life isnt the best either however it does seem to charge up quite quickly.
The c905 is a good phone however when i first got it i expected so much more from it, i expected it to compete with some of the smart phones on the market at that time. It has failed to do this due to the speed at which its operate and its lack of useful applications. However in terms of a normal phone its a decent phone to have.
Summary: A phone that promised so much has failed to deliver
